Well. Let's start that Chantelle was great, soft spoken, but I felt she did what she could. We started by asking if they had tortillas and salsa. They did and said would be getting some. Ordered queso as well. The queso was very runny, not a lot of flavor. I ordered a #7 combo. They didn't have the chili poblano so substituted a bean burrito. The tomato sauce on it was good. I did have to ask for the rest of my combo. The enchilada was okay, refried beans good but the rice was bland. Hubby had the pollo ranchero but definitely not sizzling. For dessert ordered the fried ice cream. Chantelle was kind and gave us a 2nd. First time I had fried ice cream that wasn't fried, no honey but a small drizzle of chocolate sauce. I wish this could have been a better experience, just hope it was an off day for them!
I would love to give this place a zero star but google don’t have that option in order to put the review. Came here for the first time and it will be last time too. Being vegetarian we placed 2 different orders from their vegetarian menu. Well I guess they just gave different names of the dishes I mean for this place the difference between burritos and enchilada is burrito was made in flour tortilla (filling was only black beans) and enchilada was made in corn tortilla (again only black beans as filling) even their tostadas had only black beans on it. So basically all they served us was tortilla and black beans. We went to Taco Bell because we ate nothing except chips and salsa ?? NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE!
Nicely appointed, very well taken care of. Servers were very friendly and helpful. Service was quick and attentive. Advice freely given when asked. Food was exceptional. Most Mexican restaurants rated are mediocre to mediocre. We were here for lunch, the dinner menu items looked very enticing. We will return.
Went for dinner on a Sunday evening, about an hour and a half before closing. Place was not that busy, but took a while to get someone to acknowledge us, then a bit longer than it should have to get seated. Server was GREAT, but the kids working there were a little louder than they should have been w/patrons still there. Also, the food was just so-so this time around. Seems to be a little inconsistent. We'll probably give them another try, but not anytime soon
First time here and got the tortilla soup and a chicken taco to go. It was the best tortilla soup I've ever had! It was a large portion and packed with flavor! Definitely coming back!
I did take out and wow the service was great and the bartender (handles walk in to go orders)kept cking on me and was very patient I'm 70 so it was appreciated. Food was packaged well. Left him a very nice tip!Just a great experience
Went in and was promptly seated. Usually long lines to get in at peak times. The food was just as good as ever. Had the new chicken and bacon quesadilla and it was fantastic. Well covered on queso. Will keep coming back.
To be blunt, they’ve been going downhill for. Year. They now water down their quezon dip. They have cut the meat in the fajita skillet & increased the peppers. But, I’ve continued to try to tolerate. Until tonight. Tried to order takeout. But bar was full, so couldn’t get to the barkeep, to order. One vacant spot at bar had Dishes stacked up, apparently bc nobody wanted to finish their job. So, went to hostess to order. She said she can’t, & directed me to the bar. I explained as previously described. Her response was “THAT’S JOT MY JOB” (capitalized, so you don’t miss it). I gave her a second shot, leading with the rhetorical “customer service isn’t your job”. She was clearly too ignorant to grasp the concept that being a hostess is deeply rooted in customer service. I left.Save yourself the agony & eat someplace else. Even Taco Bell is doing it better than Charandas, these days.
Food and service is great! Dahlia was our waitress and she remembered everything and gave us a great service! Thank you!
The staff was very nice there and they have a lot of good deals for lunch every day. The lunch menu had a large selection, with big portions for the amount of money that you pay.
