So My kids decided to go to dinner at Captain Steve’s. One CHILD asked for something off of the kids menu. She then told her she was told old and could not order from it so my oldest shared her plate of food with her. Fist off she is 10 years old and you shouldn’t assume without even asking!!! Really ticks me off you refused to serve my kids that were paying customers just like everyone else who walks through the door and being as rude to them as you were!! Total lost my business! Jessica C, at Captain Steve’s please do a better job at serving people without making assumptions about the customers who walk in!

Absolutely wonderful food and workers. I honestly didn't even take any pictures I just ate it all. It's all fried fish comfort food and they fry it perfectly. I love the atmosphere and homey feel. 10/10.

I got the lobster tails but they weren’t sweet whatsoever. Was a big “no”. Wife got fish and enjoyed it. Sides were great. I’m not much of a salty fried food eater so hopes that the Lobster was good, it wasn’t. They don’t have crab legs right now which is why I came. Local seafood place worth return visits but I would like the Lobster tails for $35 to be way way better.

Everything was excellent and worth the wait you have to get in! I got the jumbo fried shrimp with fries. Best shrimp I’ve ever had! Hush puppies were delish and so were the onion rings. We will be back!

My recent trip Friday before Valentine's day was a blast! I haven't had a sit down fine in experience since the pandemic.Going to my favorite restaurant Captain Steve's in Fort Mill SC was a must for my family and myself. Captain Steve's did not let me down! We all enjoyed, and will be back for more. Thank you for the most satisfying experience ever!

The Broiled Captain's Platter was great! The She Crab soup was ok. The hush puppies are addictive. I liked the collard greens (my wife did not). The price was reasonable for the amount of food we got.

Hadn't eaten here in a while but everything was delicious!! But don't be prepared to take your drink home because they no longer offer to go cups... weird but..oh well.

I'm often in town twice a month, and at least once (always ends up being each time), I have to come and get some food. Customer service has been a pleasure. Food is fresh and delicious. Whether dining in or taking out, as long as you're open, I'll keep coming back.

Very good food and large portions

Four stars is my "really good, I'll be back" rating. I reserve five stars for a rare "totally blew my socks off I can't believe it " rating. It's kind of hard to get into Steve's these days. They've limited their hours and days, I'm sure due to staffing difficulties during covid. So when they are open, they get crowded in a hurry. We showed up at 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon, and there was already a wait. Not long for our party of two, about 10 minutes. Once inside, I could see several empty tables, but they weren't spread out covid - style. There are no restrictions here in South Carolina, so it looked more staffing related.I got the fried flounder with a baked potato. I normally stay away from fried fish, but it's a calabash style staple, and to check out the restaurant, that's what you get. It was pretty good. I got the small order, and it still had two large fillets. They were a little on the thin side, but tasty. The last time I was at Steve's, in mid spring, I had the grilled chicken salad, and I rated it very good. Our waitress was friendly and super efficient, moving briskly from table to table, and checking on us many times.Bottom line, Steve has very good food for reasonable prices, as born out by the crowded parking lot whether days and hours are restricted or not.
