Stopped in here after driving roughly 14 hours for a quick bite of Southern BBQ. Food did not disappoint. Ribs/sauce & collard greens were great (I wish I had thought to get some hot sauce for them!) My favorite was the macaroni & cheese! So yummy. Glad I got a pint. Kaitlyn was also very pleasant & kind to me! Would definitely recommend checking this place out. I was very pleased with both, the food & service. Thanks!
We had dinner here. The service was pretty slow, but friendly. The food was good. The prices were a little high for what we got. We were able to park across the street at the lot by the courthouse.
Our first time dining here and the food was delicious. I had ordered a chicken bog platter and it was so good! I was a little disappointed though because they were out of deviled eggs and thats the main reason I came but overall the food and service was really really great.
Maybe it was because I got there early when they opened… The service was completely nonexistent. That’s first. Sometimes you can over look a few things if the service is pleasant. Nope. I ordered something where you pick a few items and I had some extremely DRY chicken and very bland BBQ. The vegetables tasted as if they came unrinsed from a can, still had that fresh can taste. Yum. I usually try a place a few times and give it the benefit of the doubt. Nope.
We've enjoyed lunch here twice stopping for a break on vacation travels. Both times I've gotten the sliders option to get a small taste of multiple items. Most recently we had the sliders with mac and cheese and a BBQ pork plate with cole slaw and potato salad. The sliders consist of their chicken, really good, the pork also good, and the brisket which was fine. The mac and cheese was pretty good. The loaded potato salad was yummy but kind of rich and heavy after eating several bites. The cole slaw was pleasant, not too sweet. Great service. They have an outdoor patio that was packed for the music group that afternoon.
Much like a lot of people who probably end up visiting this place, we were passing through Florence coming back from Florida as a half way point and I’m so happy we did. Honestly this was probably some of the best food we had on our entire vacation from the sweet tea all the way down to the fries. We ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich and chicken tenders with Mac n cheese. Everything was perfect including the sauces. We ordered to go and I will say it took a little longer than anticipated, but I wasn’t upset once we tasted the food. I’m not gonna lie it made me wish we were in the area for at least another day so we could try more of their menu. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re passing through or even if you’re a local and haven’t tried it yet. AMAZING food!
We went to Wholly Smokin' for Dinner and Drinks. They have a nice seating area and a small bar and outdoor seating area. The bartender was very good and attentive. The food was excellent and the price was reasonable. They have street parking and a number of parking lots around town. The BBQ was excellent, the BBQ Beans were the best we have every had and the Chicken Bog was incredible. We will be back soon.
This place looks much larger on the inside than it does for the outside, which was almost magical. The atmosphere was very comfortable, and decorations went really well with the environment. The food was absolutely fantastic for our first visit. The sauces provided were house made I believe, which went very well with the meats. Sweet potatoes fries were perfectly crisp.
I had the "LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING" I must say, it was delicious and more than enough for at least 3 people! The service was great and the meal was promptly prepared! My meal cost about $40 and that was an excellent price for all that food. The atmosphere was clean except for my poor Waitress fighting pollen pollution which caused her to sneeze lol. I'll definitely be going back.
The food at this location was very good. We went back the next night to have the same items, pulled chicken, beef brisket, Mac & cheese, and wings to name a few. Highly recommend!!
