The SCEA-RETIRED had a regional meeting at the Western Sizzlin Steakhouse in Florence. About 50 retired educators enjoyed a meal together and talked about the need to adjust the retirees' annual benefit adjustment. The food was good and the conversation lively. The waitress Joan was outstanding. Thanks to Western Sizzlin Steakhouse for the great time
The last time I ate in a Western Sizzlin was decades ago as a child. I had fond memories, so when I discovered one near me I tried it. The offered a buffet as well as steaks. I was told that the wait on custom cooked would be long, so I tried the buffet. It was a mistake. The fried fish was greasy and the bake fish seemed to have been waiting retirement. The lettuce in the salad bar was brown. The only redeeming elements: The sweet potatoes were good. The yeast rolls were okay. The biscuits were average. I will not repeat the experience, especially with a competitor next door.
Went for lunch had the buffet. It was alright. Could've been better, but could've been worse! Would I eat there again? Probably not with all the other restaurants around the area to try... If this place is on a buffet to try list with others, I would cross this one out. You aren't missing anything here.....
This was one of best western sizzling I've been to...steak was great, buffet was constantly being filled place was packed but still got good service. The Western Sizzlin from my childhood in Shreveport shut almost 30 years ago but so does everything else in that city .I really enjoyed this place thank yall for keeping this open
The food was delicious my kids loved it.. I loved it too it was well seasoned everything has taste am from the jamaica so I know.. other from this racist white lady sitting across from us looking at us like we were thieves or something minus her the experience was perfect the waitress was great good people skills very attentive with us she was super sweet ❤ would come back
Food was cold and not fresh. Salad bar was ok, spinach was fresh. Not as many offerings as it appeared....the mirrors. They had an early bird special but for a visitor from the north not many items that looked desirable. Should have went to Golden Corral.
The food was old and mostly dried out, the buffet was definitely smaller compared to other Western Sizzlin Steakhouses and they make it look bigger with the mirrors on the wall. The woman at the register that seats you was very rude and looked like she hated her job and everyone that came in. The waitresses were also very rude.
Food is always good when we come to Florence. The only issue we had is that one of the servers had a can of Red Bull in the ice chest where all the drinks were being served from. Very unsanitary
Clean & good food. Polite service. But overpriced lunch buffet for youth. $12 for my 13 year old daughter is excessive. $7 for my 8 year old is excessive. Other than meatloaf, no beef on the lunch buffet. Mostly inexpensive items. $60 for lunch for my young family stops me from coming back.
Everything was very good. Of the two folks in our party that ordered steak, the one steak came out rare, when it was specified as medium. The staff offered to make it right by taking it back but the friend decided to just keep and not eat it.
