Stopped here on our way to FL. Our server recommended the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! If you like margaritas, try the raspberry with basil margarita - also delicious! Friendly staff and good service. The owner also came around to say hello and check on everyone. We will add this to our list of places to stop at when we travel down 95 through Florence!
We took about an hour ride from our campground - wanting good food and seeing great reviews for Tubb's. Boy we were NOT disappointed! The shrimp and fresh fish were both excellent! And I had souther sides: the hoppin john was amazing!!!! As if the meal wasn't enough - and the great service - when we told our waitress how blown away we were , the owner came out to talk to us! Exceptional all the way around. We can't wait to return!
I visited Tubb's while on a business trip to Florence, on the advice of a colleague from the area, and found a wonderful place like no other! Tubb's is not fancy, which actually enhances the experience. Casual, down-home, and definitely Southern, Tubb's serves up imaginative and traditional fare. Blackened catch of the day? Check. Broiled oysters? Check. Crab cakes Rockefeller? Yes, yes! Super friendly and attentive service, hot and tasty food, nice drink menu, and a very workable ambiance all made for a perfect dinner on the road. Caroline was the perfect server, BTW. I'll definitely be back!
If you like shrimp and grits, this is the place to get it. DELICIOUS!! My husband had the fried shrimp and said it was one of the best he ever had.
Was welcomed in by the owner, Travis. Grabbed a seat at the bar. Had very friendly service. Ordered blackened flounder, scallops, shrimp that were accompanied with grits, collard and hush puppies. I’ll make this short and sweet. Whoever is cooking this food needs a compliment. All of the seafood was cooked spot-on. The grits and collards are to die for. This is not an exaggeration. I’m glad I got a chance to swing by Tubb’s Shrimp & Fish Co. If you’re ever in Florence, SC, or passing through on I95, stop here!! You will not be disappointed!
Wow! Don’t miss this wonderful family owned and operated gem in a remodeled old filling station. We found it five years ago while spending an overnight in Florence. Last night we started with the mussels carefully prepared with a wine, local pork and small bits of blue cheese…wow. We enjoyed the sauteed crab cakes, grilled shrimp and a variety of sides. A wide variety of craft beers and top notch service from Brie and the team….Check it out
One of the best places around for fresh made to order seafood. I had a grilled combo platter of flounder, shrimp and oysters. My wife had a bowl of she crab soup. Enjoyed it all! Restaurant was clean and the wait staff did an excellent job of tending to our needs. Will return when we are in the area again.
Thought I would stop in for supper, the shrimp were rubbery, Cole slaw was very warm and tasted bad. I was extremely disappointed especially considering the cost. I could have eaten better at Captain D’s.
Food was amazing! Great lunch spot. Indoor air conditioned patio seating was a nice seating option. The Mexican hushpuppies are a very good appetizer. We split them between 3 people and it was plenty! The fried catfish and fried shrimp was very fresh and cooked perfectly! Key lime pie for dessert was a nice light option to finish off the meal! Prices were good for the quality of seafood. We got there around 11:45 got seated quick and the food also arrived in a timely manner.
The hype is real, this modest seafood restaurant is amazing!!! We had Mexican hush puppies which were out of this world, grilled Corvina with the best brussel sprouts (with bacon, so delicious), fried flounder, grilled shrimp, and awesome drinks. The service was charming and hospitable!
