I found the best authentic Cajun and creole restaurant by accident, while visiting Florence S.C. the red beans and rice was the best I've ever had and the seafood gumbo is too die for. they give you samples to try first.also the sweet tea was perfectly sweeten. the food was so good I bought extra red beans and gumbo to take back to Chicago. definitely a must try. oops forgot I also order the catfish dinner with a side of fried okra it was fried to perfection along with the okra.
We found a gem today tucked away in Florence! Run don’t walk to The Lost Cajun located near the FDTC exit! Outstanding food and service! The environment was very clean and welcoming. We lucked out with trying Indian food today due to them being closed on Mondays but walked away feeling much happier with this decision! They start you out with a sampler of 6 different items to let your taste buds lead you in the right direction with your entrée. I highly recommend the Crawfish Étouffée! Everything else was great but the étouffée was amazing! They even had beignets! ??

From the moment my feet crest the entrance I could smell the Louisiana seasonings drawing me in to sit down!! Welcomed by a smiling face and warm home attitude I knew I made a great decision!! The ambience of the establishment made me feel like I really was in Nawlins!! My server came out and explained the menu to me and asked have I been here before? She then asked if I would like to try their samples!! Omg if you want a mouthgasm these samples will definitely do it for you!! I decided on the Cat touffee and the lobster bisque because the sample of that was just a tease!! The server made sure everything was ok and also the manager came around as well!! This is a must stop if you are traveling the I95!! Easy find across from the pilot gas station and before the Hampton Inn!! I definitely will be back!! Thanks for the southern hospitality and great customer service!!!
Why did the rooster cross the road? To get some more of that lobster bisque!!! Wow this is definitely a must stop!! I was conflicted about what I wanted to eat until I ran across the picture of the cat touffee!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted like I was a family member coming home!! Service was excellent and the food made it even better!!! Next time I’m in Florence I will definitely be back again!!
While driving through Florence, we stopped at a restaurant we're familiar with only to find a very long wait. After a quick look at Tripadvisor, we found The Lost Cajun. It was a pleasant surprise. When we arrived, we found one of the owners working. She seated us and explained that, as first time guests, they provide a sample of their most popular items. That was very helpful in choosing our dinners. All of the food was very good......fresh and well prepared. The prices are very reasonable. It's good to go early as they are busy and some items sell out. It's nice to see a local business doing well. We'll go back!
Delicious food and friendly service. The beignets are tasty and the Po Boy sandwich was also very good. Also can’t hear the location if traveling on 95.
After a long drive in the rain from Florida we found The Lost Cajun next to our hotel. We were greeted by Nevaeh with a great smile and full of energy. She offered a sample of six deferent menu items. All were delicious. I ordered the Lobster bisque, Jambalaya and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo. What a great meal! Go see Nevaeh she is a firecracker!
Decided to give this restaurant a try due to its proximity to my hotel. I’m glad I did! Friendly service, great food and reasonable prices. They start you off with a complimentary paddle board that has 6 small samples of featured dishes. What a great idea! Save room for a beignet. Yummy!
Great find off of I 95 N bound exit 164! We stop here as a rule now. We lived close to NOLA for a winter and this is the closest we’ve found in a place like this. Great job!
