I was not happy with my food at all. As someone else stated on their review, I am not sure what others have order but the food was not good. I was looking forward to some amazing food when I sat down and it became more horrible after each bite. I ordered the Athenian Chicken, the chicken was barely seasoned, the rice was horrible, and the pita bread was hard. I absolutely love Mediterranean food, but if this would have been my first experience of the food I would have never eaten it again. My bill came up to $40 at lunch. My mom and I were so disappointed that we finished the remainder of our 1hr and 30 min trip back home talking about how bad the food was and how we wish we would have gotten food any place else. The whole entire trip!!!! I would have rather eaten a TV dinner or school cafeteria food. I never leave reviews, but I want to make sure others know what they may be getting.

I ordered the grilled shrimp kabob dinner. Waiter brought one shrimp kabob on a small plate. No sides. I told him I had ordered the dinner. He left table, came back and told me that the manager said they don’t have a shrimp kabob dinner. I asked for a menu so I could show him what I had ordered. 20 minutes later, he returned with the menu. I showed him the grilled shrimp kabob meal that was suppose to come with orzo rice pilaf and creamed spinach. He said “oh, they just forgot to bring out your sides. I’ll be right back with them”. He returned to tell me that they didn’t have any rice pilaf and I would need to substitute another side. I did and finally after over an hour, I finally got my full meal. No apologies. No discount on bill. Nothing. I won’t be back

Fresh and hot food. Friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Ps. They have crushed ice ❤️ we had the Polynesian chicken and the hot buffalo chicken plates. Our waiter AJ was amazing, super fast and friendly. He also had recommendations for his favorite meals. ❤️ Ask for him on your next visit.

Their cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have ever had (and I have had a *lot* of cheesecake across the country).Their menu is like this: if a Midwest diner and a white Southern food restaurant had a baby, it would be Starfire.Unfortunately, the restaurant is not open on the weekends (????). And it is freezing in the restaurant. I think they could stand to save a few $$$ and turn the temp up a couple of degrees. Be warned: take a sweater inside.

First things first! Best onion rings in Florence. Now, when you are looking at the prices on the menu, don't freak out there either. Portions are enough for two meals. Starfire does not have one bag thing on the menu. If you leave here hungry, that is entirely your fault. WARNING: Don't look at the chocolate cake or any of the desserts in the case. If you do, life as you knew it is over. Pass the pitcher of milk. Save room, carry your entrée home. The Greek tavern fries are the bomb. Enjoy!!

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the backyard chicken salad with a side of spanakopita. 2 strips of broiled chicken over salad and 2 pieces of spanakopita for ($11.50). It was average. Spanakopita was frozen, not freshly made. No one is willing to take the time to freshly make anything anymore. Good service, but that won't bring me back to Starfire.

Great food, excellent service. A must to go place. Try it out you will not be disappointed!!!

Loved that there are two separate menus, American and Greek. So many choices! Both menus are extensive. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. We loved our server McKenna. Had the seared tuna entree served rare with rice pilaf and sauteed vegetables. Best item was the sauteed vegetables: carrot shavings, mushrooms and broccoli in a sweet and sour Asian sauce. The rice pilaf was very tasty but I would have preferred plain white rice; the pilaf tasted like it had a high butter content, and I prefer to eat light. The tuna was fresh; loved the large amount of sesame seeds on the tuna. Husband enjoyed his glass of Quilt cabernet and his salmon entree. Served with lemon potatoes, feta cheese, olives, wilted greens, "lots of stuff." Obviously from the Greek menu. He loved this dish but wished the salmon had been cooked a few minutes less

Food was delicious but the service was slower than it has been in the past. Despite the service I would still recommend this for a lunch, dinner or desert spot! The Key West Cheesecake is the best!

Starfire is one of my favorite places to go when dining out. They have a huge people pleasing menu so you can't go wrong when dining out with a friend or a group. The food is delicious also, definitely leave room for dessert. :)
