Food was good. Server was friendly but very unattentive. Forgot to give silverware after being asked for it. Forgot to refill drinks even after being asked for refills. Forgot salsa after being asked. They may have been short staffed. I've eaten there twice before with no problems.

Food was Great! Good selection. A little higher priced than others in the area, and even though it wasn't very busy, service was slow. But I have been here before during busier times and with a larger party and they were excellent, so I figured it was just an off day. Overall, great experience, we love the outdoor patio area, even on a hot day, the fans keep you cool and it's great if you have little ones, they can move around a little more and everyone is happier!

I don’t know what happened to this place. I used to stop here all the time on my way from Florida to New York. Went the other night ordered three tacos and guacamole. The guacamole wasn’t bad but the tacos were awful! Very small and very greasy didn’t taste authentic at all. The bar area wasn’t clean, the whole restaurant seemed very dingy and rundown. Not to mention the bill for 3 miniature tacos, one beer and one order of guacamole was over $40. Prices are not good either. Avoid.

No menu was given when seated. Tried scanning the QR code but it didn’t work. We had to ask for menus when the waitress came to take our drink order. The print of the menus was so small I could hardly read it. The food was very good, thus the 3 stars.

Had meat dish with chicken, steak, shrimp and Mexican sausage. The meat was way over cooked and tough. The dish was very greasy. Also poblano pepper didn't have the seeds out before cooking so very hot . I have eaten alot of Mexican food places but was not impressed with food or the service

Great experience. Food delicious, terrific service. Restaurant is very clean, staff is very courteous

So let me explain.... I'm not trying to be a Karen about this... BUT we have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. Food is always good. Prices have gone up but that's to be expected after 2020. My problem wasn't the food or prices... My problem was the absolutely giant water bug that flew over our heads and walked around the ceiling above us for about 20 minutes. We alerted the manager immediately and they did absolutely NOTHING. No apologies. No trying to kill it. No moving us away from it so they could try to kill it. NOTHING. I'm not exaggerating the size of this freaking bug. It was about the size of a dollar bill maybe a few centimeters shorter. I know where there is food there are bugs I'm not naive but that was the biggest water bug and for them to do absolutely nothing bothered me. We were ready to get the hell out of there as fast as possible. Thankfully we were about done eating but it was a group of us celebrating my baby shower and we were planning on hanging out a little longer and the guys having some drinks but NOPE we were literally trying to avoid this bug falling on us at all cost. There were other patrons that couldn't believe what was happening that just started their dinner and covered their food with napkins just in case it fell. Safe to say we will NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK TO SAN JOSE. It's one of the nicest Mexican restaurants in town but after that we are done. Like I said I know where there is food there is bugs but it's more the fact they did nothing.

Visited Easter Sunday, as our regular Mexican establishment was closed for the holiday. Pricy for what tasted like blended Hormel chili beans and instant rice. Service was good! No complaints there. The rest just made me want to go to Margaritas which is less than half a mile away and always tastes great!

Service was wonderful. The salsa and guacamole were excellent. Unfortunately the entree was not what it once was. Had the Philly Steak burrito. Was very oily and more onions than steak & mushrooms. Don’t plan to go back.

This is not a $26 molcajete for two. Everything is bland, the shrimp, chicken, and steak. A whole lot of money for a whole lot of nothing. Mi Tierra gives you this much for $13 and it’s a Whole lot better.
