I am not able to put into words how outstanding our dinner was. I highly recommend the Filet and/or spaghetti! The service was fantastic as well as every single bite! If you haven’t been to Il Buongustaio, you need to run there. If It were 5 stars, I give it 10!

Their food is great. We tried to "plate shared" so we could enjoy more choices and were told they did do that on weekends. Go figure.I have been told that they charge premium to use credit cards. That may influence my future decisions to go there. I have no intention of carrying cash, as that is uncomfortable to me. Credit cards are safer for me - and them.
Their special tonight was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my entire life. And I’ve had the pleasure of eating at some mighty-fine famous places. Sea bass over port wine risotto with scallops and gingered pears. I’m sure I didn’t say it right, but, oh my goodness, did the chef (who I was told worked for the Kennedys) do it oh so deliciously well!
Nice little place for dinner enjoyable
What a gem! We finally made it to IL Buongustaio last night for a double date and had an amazing experience. Our server was Chad - he was attentive and very helpful! We ordered Cesar salad for appetizer which was simple but very delicious. We tried some of the Salumi charcuterie board our friends ordered - simply delicious. Chad brought out fresh bread (just out the oven fresh) and rosemary infused olive oil before our entrees came out. We ordered the Halibut special and Spaghetti Allo Scoglio (Spaghetti sautéed with fresh seafood tomato sauce - mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, & scallops). Everything was so fresh, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We ended the night with some delicious tiramisu. We’ll definitely be going back to try everything else on the menu! *chefs kiss*Besides the food, we really enjoyed the ambiance and the relaxed atmosphere. Since everything is made to order, expect to wait for your food (definitely worth it). We spent about 2.5 hours but did not feel very long at all because we had great company and a nice bottle of wine.
Gas prices so high right now you feel like you can't drive to the airport and make it all the way to Italy?! How about having Italy brought to you????? Sounds pretty great right? If only that was possible ?Oh wait!!! It is! The chef at IL buongustaio grew up in Italy and absolutely killed it in the kitchen! Loved everything from the charcuterie board to the halibut as an entreé to the side quiche!! Too many good things to try, I'll be coming back until I've tried them all. Loved the atmosphere and the quaintness. Thank you for a great time

Absolutely recommend this restaurant! From start to finish, we had an excellent experience. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were all exceptional! We couldn’t decide on our entrees because there were so many incredible options to choose from, so we asked our server to ask the chef to make us his favorite dishes and we were not disappointed. Will absolutely be back again in the near future!
