The food was awesome! Our waitress was so pleasant and took care of us! My only complaint was over the steak! My mouth was really wanting this steak, I just couldn’t wait to put it in my mouth. Then it happened, so much gristle and couldn’t cut it at all! The worst steak I have ever had!!! I had to remove it from my plate and settle for the grilled chicken!! The chicken was good! My recommendation is to never try the steak!! That is unless you like a mouth full of gristle and not being able to cut it with a knife! I did try so hard to eat this because I don’t like wasting food but people I was finally able to get a piece in my mouth and I could not chew it at all, I had to spit it out and get something else!!
Food was undercooked and everything was dirty, couldn’t even eat the ribs they were so tough and undercooked
The food was pretty good. I had the fried fish, fried okra, black-eyed peas, and green beans. All were nicely seasoned and not overly salted. The bus man Charles was exemplary and so gentlemanly. Our waitress was quick to serve, helpful, and kind. So why only two stars? We were a party of five. The young lady on the cash register made a mistake when initially told how many were in our party. Instead of accepting that she made a mistake, she began screaming at our party and being very rude. She was so discourteous, so inappropriate, so unwelcoming. This cashier has no idea at all what customer service means. We shared our concerns with the manager but that negative situation cast a pall over our entire dining experience. If ever I should visit Florence, South Carolina, I will not return to this eating establishment.
The food was not good at all. I've noticed prior to yesterday the food has slowly gone down hill but yesterday was the worst! Veggies were bland, no taste; fried chicken was almost cold; my baked potato was warm and not fully cooked. The only thing I will compliment is my waitress and the iced tea. After yesterday, I won't be going back! Y'all need better cooks!
It was just before the restaurant closed but the waiter was very nice as well as the cashier and food was good. They were starting to clear out some of the dishes from the buffet or some of the sections were empty so that's why a 4 star rating. In a nice location with lots of other stores around.
Overall good food and friendly staff. have been many many times over the years and honestly one of my favorite buffets, because of the good food, and still is. Wide food variety selection, steaks cooked to order, and the best rolls i've ever had. I can say today I wasn't pleased with fried okra & the rice that was baked under fish but everything else was so delicious especially the hot rolls that it didn't matter
Came here to celebrate a birthday. I haven't been to a Golden Coral in years! Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive. The food was really delicious. The waitress provided aluminum foil to the few of us who wanted to take some cake home. That was so kind of her. Will definitely be back.
Food at Florence location was terrible. Pot roast was tender but tasted bland. Steak was nasty with an overpowering garlic flavor. Other buffet items were as though they had been cooked the day before or something. Apple pie was cold. Wasn't an off time either. All food should have been very fresh was so disappointed. Ate at the Monroe location a week before and loved everything. After my visit here, I was told by several people that they had bad experiences with this Golden Corral.
We’re visit Golden Corral 2 or more days a week food was hot and fresh. I and my wife noticed it the young lady the manager I know she’s Asian but we don’t know her name . She’s can work we been watching her. That’s Asian lady always great us she walk to different table and ask if we need anything or how’s the food .what a good manager.
Saturday and Sunday dinner was extremely busy we couldn’t find a parking spot as soon as we get inside we have to wait about 15 minutes for the line which is not bad compared any restaurant. Food was delicious even they keep running out of food selection , cooks and Managers on duty did the amazing job. Working in buffet restaurant was not easy . Good job we enjoyed it
