An amazing establishment I happened upon during an out-of-state travel. The burger and fries were not bad, and were okay for what it was. However on this day a rather large man somewhere between 450-500 pounds busted outside of the bathroom and shouted "THAT ONE CAME OUT SIDEWAYS!" From the back of the kitchen someone shouted "Please Jordan, we're running out of chili. We don't have much left!".He said " Oh my lawrd, come on!" And out of no where a Playstation controller flew and ricochet a few times. Anyway the food was good. Big ups!
The staff were amazing. Good food, however, I was sat with my family for our weekly fast food outing when a 450 lb man came barging in. He exclaimed that he was with door dash. The man grabbed his bag off the counter and immediately ripped it open. He looked inside and started saying things like "I know it's there, I smell it player". He then pulled out a side portion of chili from the bag and proceeded to go into what can only be describes as a "frenzy". He opened the bowl and poured it into his mouth. After finishing it off he exclaimed, "someone better get some more before I whip out this thicc six!". It was then that I ushered my family out of the establishment.
Incredibly slow and food was incredibly poor quality. Now, I work in the fast food industry and I completely understand having a short staff or taking longer than usual but the last 3 times I’ve been there the wait has been more than excessive to get basically cold incorrect and hard food. The last time was the final straw though, my mom and I went inside about 5 days ago give or take because we had a large order and didn’t want to hold up the already slow drive thru line. When we got in 2 other people had already ordered and were waiting on their change?! The man upfront taking peoples ordered had yet to tell anybody he needed change and obviously people were very upset and he only started packaging their food AFTER he got the change, which he should’ve given to them before he started taking another persons order. We order and he lumbers around putting our food in the bag, not really the definition of fast food but that isn’t really what bothered me. What really bothered me is the fact that not only was the food bad but we ordered strawberry lemonade, and the container they had it in was basically empty and instead of telling someone he needed the strawberry lemonade before he made our drinks he made our drinks with whatever was in there and then proceeded to tell someone he needed the lemonade ??♀️ and when we finally did get the lemonade it was literally all pulp. I understand that Wendy’s does have pulp in their lemonade and that doesn’t bother me but when the drink is literally just pulp there’s a problem. I sound like I’m nitpicking but as someone who works in this industry there’s so much that could’ve been done to make not only my experience better but the people in front of me who had already ordered too. Please do better Wendy’s on Church StEdit: I will add that when we left a man gave us a free frosty which I absolutely do appreciate but it doesn’t make up for the poor experience we had there
I went thru the drive through and it must have been a bad day or the people working there need to work on their communication skills. I sat at the window with not one of the three employees working the area opening the window to let me know what was happening or what they were waiting on from my order. When I finally got one of the young women to open the window and I asked what was taking so long, she looked into the store and didn't say a word. At that point the young man grabbed a bag that had been sitting on the counter and handed it to me with my drink, apologizing for the wait. This is a lack of communication skills that needs to be remedied quickly. Normally this Wendy's is okay, however this day was a poor performance (but the food was fine).
This store is always out of everything. Conway might as well go wait in McDonald's line especially late night because there is no such thing as friendly service or getting what you wanted 99% of the time. What kind of restaurant doesn't have sweet tea at periodic and random times of the day? Been at 12 pm, 2pm, 8pm, 12am.....out of sweet tea every time. Do better please.
I'm a pretty patient person. I visited the Conway location on Church St. at about 8:00PM on Tuesday March 22. It took right at 40 minutes to go through the line to get my food. When I got my food it was lukewarm at best I'm suspecting because it sat on a counter for so long. I can't believe that this is acceptable. They were courteous and friendly.
Food and prices is great, my only issue was a gentleman of size constantly harassing the customers trying to sell us vacuum cleaner parts. Some people where annoyed enough that they left, after which this man ate all their leftovers. This was good and all until he stumbled upon a leftover salad. This caused him to sob and whimper uncontrollably. When an employee tried to calm him down all he said was "look here dude, I hope your family dies in an automobile wreck".I hope this encounter was an isolated incident in this fine establishment.
Big ups for an interesting experience at this particular Wendy's. I was enjoying my meal when I witnessed a grotesquely overweight white male barge into the store in a rage screaming at the top of his lungs. Something about someone named Liquid Richard?? The employees didn't flinch so I assumed this was normal behavior in Conway SC and continued on with my lunch. Then without warning, he filled a 2 liter up with that sweet Wendy's chili and said something about the age of consent should be 12? That was enough for me and I left as fast as possible.
My boyfriend, Richard, takes me here all the time to get away from his wife. Their chili and fries are my favorite. A big plus is that their drive through has plenty of room for his 2022 Ford Raptor.
When me and my 6 kids came into the premesis, we were expecting competent staff and tasty food here here, as an old friend of mine recommended this branch very highly to us. Instead, we received discerning comments from the employees that my children were of mixed race and we were told that there was no Pepsi or chilli left in the machines. This left my son, jordie jr., without his favorite meal when I had promised it to him. Safe to say, we will not be returning. -Brandi
