I'm sitting in the parking lot eating the meal in the picture. I'm a chef, and stopped in here for something to eat after work. I ordered the fried chicken, collards, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. I'd planned to take it home and eat it, but it was gone before I cranked the car.The cornbread was great. Soft, mildly sweet, and moist. Everything cornbread should be. The Mac and cheese was hot and melty, and clearly a baked, southern delicacy.Collard greens are notoriously hard to get right. You need some sweet, some bitter, and the right amount of salt. Six in a Ness has the formula perfected. I make good collards, but they make GREAT collards. Finally, the chicken. My lord. This fried chicken was seasoned to perfection. It was piping hot, but I ate it even though it was making me to that thing where you try to blow on the food while it's in your mouth. It was 100% worth the slightly burnt tongue. The skin was dark and crispy, the dark meat was moist and so so so flavorful. My meal took about 10 minutes to come up, but I could see in to the kitchen and knew that it was being made to order. Good food isn't fast, and this was good food. It was well worth the wait. The staff is great, and all of them that I saw stopped to say hello. This is a family owned, run, and supported restaurant. I hope that Six in a Ness stays where they are for a very long time. I can't urge you enough to stop in and try the amazing menu they're offering. Thank you for an amazing meal. I'll be back soon.

Food was good enough but it seems to be from all the other lower rated reviews, the price you pay for what you get is really bad! It's really expensive for the amount they give you. I got 7 medium sized shrimp with fries for $12 and my daughter got a small leg and small thigh for $8 for 2 pcs chicken only! My first and last time here! They won't last long with the price to food ratio!

Certainly not the best in the area. The food is ok at best. They are really unorganized, need serious training on restaurants efficiency. They are incredibly slow. My wife and I waited 40 minutes for fish and fries. Lastly, those prices for the quality and service are extremely overpriced. Will not be returning.

My husband and I thought the food wasawesome. It was authentic soulfood. We will definitely go back. Chicken andwaffles i have my eye on you.

We REALLY enjoyed our dinner! The food was awesome, the presentation was great, and the owner was very friendly and the service was superior ??Chicago in the house!!!

Fried pork chops, not greasy and wonderfully juicie! Collards killer!I'll be back.....

For weeks I’ve been craving smothered food and did not know where to find it… BUT BAAAEEEEBBBBYYYY WHEN I TELL YOU THAT SMOTHERED CHICKEN HIT THE SPOT!! The service was amazing, my order came out pretty quick… I’m excited about going back to try other things on the menu!!! Customer service there makes dining feel like your at the kitchen table on Sundays after church!!

Had a Great experience!. Host/Owner Ms Monique was very friendly & accommodating. Food was delicious. Restaurant was clean, Restrooms were clean. Overall, I would highly recommend this Family owned restaurant.
