I ordered thru Door Dash. Mac& cheese was missing from kid’s meal so grand daughter was upset. Very little chicken on a croissant(less than 1/2 cup) , but fruit was good.
In 1989 in an abandoned movie-set diner in Mississippi, the deli with the slogan “Our food is our foundation” came to be. Now, with 400 locations in 28 states “they invite you to come for the food and stay for the experience.” From the famous 13 layers of the McAlister’s Club, to the giant Spuds covered with all your favorite toppings, from the delicious sweet tea to succulent soups and decade desserts. I have dined at a number of different locations and have never had a truly bad experience. Yes, some more memorable than others. This location was commendable as soon as I walked in. Clean, bright open dining area with counter ordering and padded booths and high top tables and chairs. Sitting outside one can enjoy the patio or the second story balcony. I ordered the McAlister Club with smoked turkey, Black Forest ham, bacon, sharp cheddar, mix of greens, sliced tomato, mayo and McAlister's Honey Mustard™ on wheat toast. I enjoyed the many layers of deli fresh meats and cheese, crisp greens and fresh produce, nicely stacked on wheat toast complimented with mayo and honey mustard. My side was the Mac and Cheese, that was hot and creamy with a nice mix of cheddar, American and Neufchatel cheese. To further enhance my deli dining experience, I picked up the Colossal Carrot Cake to go. A nice slice of moist carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting. My dessert of choice. Needless to say, the whole piece didn’t make it home. The long hair across my pickle was a slight deterrent but counter staff were quick to replace it with 3 more. Kalie was personable and our food came quick.
A group of us stopped here for dinner, and we loved it! We each had something different to eat...and everyone was happy with their food. The nachos were really good and the sandwich with the jalapeno potato chips was super tasty as well. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and we will definitely be going back again soon.
Great food, good service, average prices. The food is pricey but good and a much healthier alternative to fat food. This isn't a spot I go to weekly but monthly for sure. Again, food is great!
This location is close by me so I’ve ordered food to go before and haven’t really had any problems until my last couple of visits. I ordered a spud to go, when I got home I found the container had been placed in the bag upside down. So I had to scrape all of my toppings off the lid of the container and put it back on the potato. Not the worst thing in the world I’ll admit just slightly annoying. However, on my most recent visit, I ordered another potato with veggie chili (don’t eat meat). When I got home, my potato was burnt in places and the chili had meat in it. It was inedible to me. I contacted them about the mix up and was offered a refund for the item…two weeks later, still no refund.
Really good food, and staff. The young manager was great!!! I only wish that I had his name, so that I could give him a shout-out.
How I order a full nacho and get this little bit of chili to not even cover anything. Smh do better. They were probably mad because I asked to make sure to put my stuff on the side. I never have any problems with the surfside location but appears this one
Ordered dinner to go and it was amazing. Staff is very friendly. My order was correct and ready in only a few minutes. I love their sweet tea! Will be back again!
I’ve worked in food/customer service for years so I always have understanding for understaffed stores but this store had lack of responsible management. Every employee had no sense of urgency except for one dude in the kitchen (when I saw about 3-4 people back there) who was running around trying to pick up others slack. My husband and I waited 20 minutes for two sandwiches. Someone finally asked us what we were waiting on and apparently someone set our food down on a counter where all the other food was away from, it was ready for god knows how long and nobody called our name at any point. When we got our food it was of course cold and the quality was less than subpar.
I live within walking distance of this location, and I have been here before. I think the food is good, I like the customization you can have with the items. I usually order online and pick it up due to time constraints. Food is priced reasonably for the quality. I do not have much experience with the staff, because the online orders give you an option to pick it up at a shelf. I will say that the staff members are quite busy and they don’t seem to pay any mind to you when you do walk up to the pick-up shelf, but that’s not necessarily a complaint.
