Having been a patron for over 15 years very disappointed over the shady billing of an additional 4% for use of a credit card without authorization or letting the customer know, also routine addition of tips to the bill. They have also jacked up the prices cut the portions just a bit shady for a long time business in our neighborhood. Very disappointed will be moving down the road.
Decent food and service, but every time I've gone I always thought their food quality ≠ price. Lunch "specials" are a little comical. Saved 25¢ versus normal price, but paid an extra $2 for fries. 4% extra to use a card. With a little work to their menu and pricing, this place could be better.
The place is tucked behind medical office buildings but once you find it you will be so happy you did! This was our second time here and the food was excellent. Our compliments to the chef. Bar food plus a full menu. Our server was great, attentive and knowledgeable. The first time we came, it was music trivia bingo night - Thursdays - we did not know this and it was alot of fun. Check it out. We will be back that is for sure.
Food was good and service was average. They do have shady billing practices. They automatically charge 15% gratuity to your ticket (3ppl 60.00 order), there is a CC service charge of 4%, and I was billed for food I didn't order. none of this information is posted anywhere in the bar oron the or menu. It is a unpleasant surprise at the end of you meal. They no longer have to worry about my business. Hope it was worth it for them and hope this helps the next customer.?
This place is absolutely wonderful. It is our favorite date night place. The food is wonderful but the staff is what makes it so great. We recommend it everyone we can.
Very unprofessional. Establishment does not cater to all customers. Paid to play music on TouchTunes, music was purposely turned down and songs were skipped many times. Manger claimed it was because of the “2 older customers” and he could not “play music like that” as if we were not paying customers also. Manager wasn’t willing to reimburse for skipped songs. Definitely will not be returning. Discriminates against African Americans, and food in general was mid. 0/10
Have been coming here since we moved to Conway. Suddenly we have to pay 4% more for using a credit card. My golf group now refuses to lunch here. Put in a take- out order based on the new cash policy. Checked the online menu to make sure I had enough cash to pick up my order. Seems as though the online menu prices are not the in- store prices. When I questioned the bill, no explanation. I guess there are no other restaurants in Conway. Will find one because I will never return to Coastal Ale House.
I'm in the service industry & know the importance of stars .... so, currently, they have a 4 star rating & I don't want to help nor hinder that ... this is more of a PSA ...The service was awesome & the food was definitely portioned above average.I ordered 2 Southern Comforts on the rocks .... The pour was VERY heavy .... so I'm not complaining there .... my confusion is the $2.50 charge for Rocks.... seriously, I was charged for Ice???? Now again... the pour was heavy .... no would I get less if I ordered it neat??? I'm unsure...My next beware moment was ... the server dropped my check and did NOT mention a 15% auto gratuity... I tip above 20% .... but, fortunately I did catch this before leaving the parking lot & went back in and got my added gratuity back ... he was worth 20% but, absolutely not 35% ??Again. Just buyer beware .... some housekeeping issues that need to be looked at ...
I moved to Conway area from Myrtle Beach one year ago, and discovered this place pretty quickly. Loved it..the food is always good, the service also....however..I WILL NOT BE BACK...went in for lunch today, it was great. Got my bill put my bank debit card in, when the slip for signature came back there was a notice that 4% was added for using a credit card. I tipped 30% and these guys charged me 4% for using plastic? I asked the bartender about this and he said that this has been in effect for a few montha and that most regulars now know to bring cash. Well you now have one less great tipping regular...Adios!!!
The bartender (Summer) is fantasic!!! So attentive and so sweet! Just started coming regularly for happy hour and the pricing on food and drinks are unbeatable! Everyone must go give it a try because those wings are AMAZING!
