Marvelous dining experience! Quiet, unique, comfortable surroundings. My favorite dish is veal picatta and is presented attractively and tastes as good as it looks. The personal service is excellent. This a family owned business and is famous for Carmella's cheesecake. This is the best and most consistent dining experience in the Columbia area regardless of time or day of the week.
We just celebrated my birthday here and it was the best meal we’ve had in SC to date, and we’ve lived here 13 years. We had the chicken piccata, linguini and clams, ravioli, and pizza. We are third generation Italian and often are disappointed in Italian restaurants, but this experience was amazing. When we go out to eat, we want it to be better than homemade and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was immaculate for the oldest restaurant in SC. Finally, you don’t get hospitality like what we experienced here. If I could give it ten ⭐️s, I would.
Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this place. Food was lukewarm, the tomato sauce is obviously out of a can, absolutely no seasoning. Oh and their house salad dressing tasted like it was 100 percent oil, couldn't even eat it. Was very bland and over priced. The rolls were half stale. The service was OK but I sat for 30 minutes with an empty water glass. Just a real disappointment. I say save your time and money.
A well-rounded menu of classic Italian dishes and new strokes to keep you interested. The wine list is well-done. Staff and owners go out of their way to make you feel at home.
This place is amazing! Came into Columbia for the New Year's Eve parties and ice she skating. A friend and I wanted some good Italian food. So no Olive Garden. Found this place on Google maps and Zomato. Both places had good reviews so we checked it out. If you're looking for a quaint little romantic restaurant to take a date to, this place is perfect. Food was amazing! Service was great! My friend is a really picky eater. She had a hard time picking something for her meal and the waitress was helping her decide. My friend had mentioned she didn't like tomatoes in listing ingredients she didn't like. They finally found a dish for her and when her salad came out there were no tomatoes. The waitress just paid attention to the customer and knew what my friend wanted with and without her salad. Both of us left stuffed and extremely satisfied!
This oldest restaurant in South Carolina was filled with memories of the family who created it and still owns it. The homemade Italian offerings were delicious from the Appetizers to desserts. Great wine list and the service impeccable!
Went last week for a early VD. meal. Not very busy. Seemed like we were all jamed into i small room. One server for 6 tables. Server ran hard, however cant say the service was good. to much for one to handle. We waited for everything. Salt butter etc. Portions were small. My entree was cold. Ordered eggplant parmigiana..2 1/2 inch slices described it. Stoped on the way home for a McDouble. 60.00 spent and left hungry.
You taste wine from this place, you will never buy the ones from the grocery stores. Their food was great with many vegetarian options. Thiramisu from this place is a must try.
We like cool and unusual places. Villa Tronco is in an old firehouse. Beautifully redone. you can see the big doors of the stable from the dining area. The linguini and white clam sauce is excellent. We ordered dessert and Joe, one of the owners gave us some of the amaretto bread pudding on the house.
Fancy dinner place for any special occasion. Such good food. Best chicken parmesan in Cola so far. And best tiramisu, period. (Food so good, forgot clicking pictures)Also, very helpful and accommodating staff.Fun fact- it is the oldest italian food place in Cola.
