Wow, what a great dive bar! Right across the street from the Capital tucked in a basement. The lighting reminded me of the haunted house in Disney, lol. I'm trying to eat vegan and they had an amazing Black Eyed Pea burger. It's a nice option from all the fake meat Beyond and Impossible. They even offered fresh veggies as a side option which were surprisingly good. House wines were also great and there was a large selection of craft brew, not to mention reasonable prices. Truly an unexpected find!

It kind of threw me off at first. I wasn't expecting the dark lighting inside. You also have to order at the bar which was a little different. However, the customer service was on point, the drinks were on point, and the food was amazing. We both got burger and fries. The burger was cooked to perfection and came out hot. The fries were fresh and seasoned like they should be. We were shocked at how good the burger was in a basement restaurant. Definitely will visit again.
Small place that's easy to miss. Glad a coworker recommended this. I tried the Whig Chicken Sandwhich and it was one of the better sandwiches I have had. The sweet potato fries were also prepared well. The soda was flat but the bartender fixed it after I told her about it. It is more a bar+restaurant so don't expect a bright lit atmosphere and spacious seating.
This place is a true hidden gem! If you’re looking for one of the most unique bars in the city, this is it! It’s underground and kind of has an old time prohibition feel. There’s old pictures and old light fixtures to give it the old fashioned feel, as well as an old spiral staircase. My favorite part is the old full size bank safe that you can sit inside! Definitely check this place out!

great find walking distance from my hotel. nothing fancy here. great pub grub and beer selections. the burgers are great as are the tater tots. a friend had the blt and commented on the amount and how perfect the bacon was on the sandwich. great bartenders who handle everything in stride. say hi to Leonard when you go!
Their fries are really tasty. I liked their steamed veggies as a side.
