Delicious! There are so many varieties and the menu has significantly more available than pancakes. Eggs, meats, waffles, etc. are all very tasty and fruits are fresh (unlike most restaurants). The orange juice is freshly squeezed by big machines loaded with oranges.The wait can be an hour plus on weekends unless you get there early. It can be a bit loud but not necessarily rambunctious. I enjoy going here whenever I can and diet permitting.
We had a wait of an hour on a Saturday morning. We drove a mile or so down the road to Trader Joe's to get restocked in biscotti, pita chips and other snacks. When we returned we waited 10.minutes for our table to be ready. Our service was quick and professional. I had the chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes which were absolutely the best pancakes I've ever had. The soft scrambled eggs were actually softly scrambled which is a rarity. The sausage patties were as good as I've had. You have to have a lot of confidence to call yourself the "Original Pancake House." My wife and brother agreed with me that this breakfast diner is a 10 out of 10. Breakfast don't get any better than this Palmetto jewel on Forest Drive.
The wait was a hour. Its busy on the weekends for sure. Food was good. The waitress was great. It was cold My table was near.
My first time eating there and it was beyond good. I had the bacon lovers classic (name might not be exactly right) which included 5 strips of thick bacon, 3 eggs, pancakes and potatoes. For some of us at the table, we said they could keep the potatoes and give you another pancake. Nevertheless, I/we will be back. I don't know what they put in those pancakes but they were better than anything we ever get at home or other pancake places. :)
Great food with exceptional service. Fresh squeezed orange juice is so tasty. Another is the thick cut bacon.

I went here for the first time today and it was packed(Sunday rush) and once I got inside...I knew why! I got the fresh strawberry pancakes with the homemade strawberry syrup and it was bomb. My friend tried the Swedish Pancakes with Lingonberry which she said reminded her of cranberries. She loved it as well. The home fries were crisp and buttery and the turkey sausage tasted great! The service was friendly (shout out to our waitress Sandy!)and even though it was busy ...they got our food out in a decent amount of time. I highly recommend them ❤️
The Original Pancake House still reigns Supreme in breakfast and service. Jenna, our server, was hands down THE BEST!!! We never asked for anything because she was right there making sure we were satisfied and had what we needed. We had the bacon lovers breakfast and everything was delicious!! We will be back again!!
