Excellent lunch and diverse menu
Stopped in as it was a reccomended spot to eat at. The food is creative and excellently prepared. It has a limited menu but everything I've tried is amazing. Sharing a few small plates is the way to go. Deviled eggs are different every day and they have different specials throughout the week. Friday is burger day. The 1st time we had the everything bagel spiced with lox deviled eggs and the ham bites finished with the strawberry cream cheese cake. Second time to Columbia in a week, actually planned our trip to be able to revisit. We shared the shrimp pie and finished with the blueberry coconut lemon cake. Every item was just right, with that kind of surprise you had finding an easter egg as a child. They do sell out of things, Fri. at one thirty the deviled eggs and burger special were gone but even if you don't get your first choice you will not be disappointed. The staff is amazing, happy in what the are creating and sharing...in our travels there are only a handful of places we deliberately return to, this is one of those places.

WOW! First soft shell crab sandwich in 2 years due to Covid shutting down restaurants for lunch. The Spotted Salamander Catering did their’s differently but it was still good. They used a homemade sweet hot Nashville sauce and I had them put it on toast rather than soft bread. This is a great place with good seats and excellent atmosphere. While I was there they had about 20 customers get takeout or curbside which I’ve never seen before. There are quite a few offices nearby, so, I figured many takeouts were for that reason alone.

I ate lunch with my daughter & her friend and we were very pleased with the service & the quality of food! The food was delicious! Make sure to try dessert you won't be disappointed. The oatmeal creme pie and chocolate crack cake were soooo good. We will be going back for lunch!

I had a much anticipated visit for lunch today and was not disappointed. Definitely will be back the next time I'm in town! Friendly service team and nice dine in experience. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich was delicious.
This restaurant is very charming! It's in a restored older, beautiful home on Pickens street. The service here was stellar, and the food was so very good! Extra points for a fantastic, easy to navigate website!
