Monterrey Mexican Restaurant on Senate Street in Columbia is a great place to go for delicious and flavorful Mexican food. I really like the location and atmosphere that they have here. I have had an enjoyable experience every time I have been here. Cool place.
Best possible service! We stopped in on a busy Saturday night, and we did not have long to wait for our food. Everyone took great care of us- making a table ready, taking our orders immediately, and bringing us everything we needed with kindness and a smile. And the food- WOW! So so good. I can’t recommend them more.
The service was lacking. Our waitress was on her phone and another waiter had to tell her to go take our order after we sat there for awhile sipping our drinks. Our food did come fairly quick and the only thing that was exceptional was the rice and beans. The fajitas I really could have gotten anywhere, nothing stood out. We waited for refills, for the check, for our change. The atmosphere was comfortable but nothing out of this world.

I can't count how many times I've been here.. Food is always sooo good and the service is great!!! Also amazing vegetarian options:o) I don't think i will ever stop coming here
Waiter spilled cheese dip on my pants, got the order wrong, and tried to overcharge me. I don’t typically leave reviews like this but this was the worst service I have had.
Came in on a very busy night. Had great service!! One of my favorites!! Will be coming back! Definitely managed the chaos of this night very well!!

Servers were attentive. Food was some of the best Mexican food in town. The fish tacos were filling and delisious.
