We eat here from time to time. Last night, 4/22/2022, we picked up take out around 4 o'clock. The food did not reveal itself very fresh. The squash casserole was just a pile of mush. The fried okra was undercooked. not browned at all. Something made my wife have an upset stomach. I think i will let these people go for a while. If they let me tour the kitchen I may come back. I know they won't because it's probably dirty. i would definitely entertain an invitation from management.
Moving back home from Georgia, I have really missed this restaurant because they don't have any in Atlanta or its vicinity. I am so glad that I now live close enough to frequent here again. Everything is always amazing definitely a must-try if you haven't had it where you're from! Home cooked food that melts in your mouth.
Great family diner! Great food and service! We always try to stop by for breakfast or lunch when in the area!?
Food was good for what it was, not sure what I was expecting, much of it reminded me of school food. Service was good.
It's been a long time since I was there and I was really happy with the people and the fact that the same kind of things I would like to have been there for the weekend as I would love to have some of the roast beef they always had on Sunday if I remember correctly that was always soooo yummmmy .

We eat at least one meal a week at this location and are normally quite satisfied. BUT, last evening we ordered the Turkey and DRESSING special which is usually a slice of turkey over dressing. Well, the turkey was chopped with gravy and NO SIGN OF ANY DRESSING. We only ordered 2 additional veggies and were super disappointed. Had we known we would get NO dressing, we would've ordered mashed potatoes. This is unacceptable as we paid for dressing. We most likely will find another restaurant that serves their actual special or at least lets the customer know they are out of a side and to choose another. Hope today's chicken and dumplings special comes with dumplings for those of you eating there today!

What is a little slow day today but Lizard Thicket usually has pretty good thing the food was good the waitress was right the prices always think they're little high but y'all know me I'm cheap but all in all all together it was good
