We just happened to stop here for lunch. One of the best BBQ places I have been to! The pulled pork, fried chicken, okra, mac n cheese, baked beans are amazing. So much to choose from and the buffet price is a great deal. Wish we could visit again soon but it will be awhile since we live in California.
Just go. Eat the barbecue. It’s all good. It’s where I take company and out of town business associates for barbecue. You can get SC yellow mustard barbecue, NC style vinegar barbecue, plain, and a red. They are all good. The hash you have with rice (we only have that in SC for the most part) is very good. They have vegetables, coleslaw, and potato salad of course. You will not go away disappointed. I promise you.
Came here for lunch with my friend around 2:50 pm. Had some excellent customer service, everyone was friendly and made us both feel welcome. The food was perfect, everything was hot and delicious and there was no need for any extra sauces or anything. I usually judge any place with soul food by their collards. Let me just say i was back in the line for 3 helpings of it ?. The collards were wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perefection. The restaurant itself was very clean and the staff was attentive at taking care of us and everyone around us. It had that home atmosphere that makes ya feel like when you come again everyone will remember you. I can't wait to go back! ? I appreciate places like this that actually let ya feel welcome. Wonderful experience.
It used to be very good. Maybe it's suffered due to the pandemic. The fried chicken and sausage seemed to be either sitting on the bar all day, or cooked the day before and reheated. The vegetables had no flavor, and the banana pudding was old and picked over. This place used to be top notch, but I'll give them a pass because of Covid.
The restaurant seems to have a great reputation but the food-truck part of it couldn't be worse from my experience.I was attending a track event at Spring Valley HS on a Saturday morning and I ordered the stone-ground cheese grits. What I got was a heap of barely lukewarm sludge with a pile of cold shredded cheese thrown on the top.I told the guy that the grits weren't even warm and that I wanted my money back. He gave me back the $5 but didn't say a word. He looked like he just rolled out of bed and couldn't care less.I get it that not everything can be perfect and mistakes happen, but the terrible, totally uncaring customer service convinced me 100-percent I'll never try that establishment again.Cheese grits are hard to screw up but they managed to do it. Attentive customer service is easy and this guy failed miserably. And I have to imagine I wasn't the only one who walked away with the same impression. One star seems generous based on my experience.
Oh my word, SO good!! My husband was just trying to find *someplace* on our last day in SC. We drove to 3 different places, when we found Little Pigs- litteraly 5 minutes from our rental house! It's so awesome, don't hesitate!!
We were staying overnight in Columbia, heading home from Florida. I checked Trip Advisor as we were hungry for BBQ. Boy did we get lucky. We got carryout because we were heading to our hotel, but if we could have stayed and eaten there it would have been even better to try the buffet. Our ribs and all our sides were delicious. Highly recommend.
Really good food! I'm from the Pee Dee area and I can never find chicken bog in Columbia, but found delicious chicken bog here. I have very picky children who loved the food and cleaned their plates. It's a great buffet with the MOST delicious hush puppies this far inland. It's kind of crowded if you dine in, but that's the only reason I gave 4/5 stars.
Delicious. I will not visit Fort Jackson again without stopping here! Incredible food, great price!
(Re - visited). This place since this is one of my favorite BBQ places. It did not let me down.It was just as good as it was the last time we went here which was about 2 years ago. They have 3 different kinds of pulI pork. Mustard base, BBQ style, and vinegar base. All 3 I loved but the mustard based is my favorite. They also have fried catfish, green beans, Mac and cheese Which I have to say was one of my favorites as well. They also have Mashed potatoes , Collie greens, Hush puppies, French fries, Fried chicken, Fried wings two different styles Ones that are spicy and ones that are not. They also had some more things but I can't remember them all. For dessert they have peanut butter pudding and banana pudding both were delicious the drinks are included sweet tea andunsweet tea and sodas.
