We walked in and were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our server was a little slow but our food was delicious. The wings with honey Sriracha sauce was finger licking good. Then we had the salmon with a honey bourbon glaze, green beans, collard greens and rice. The sauce on that salmon was the star of the plate. I could have poured that sauce over EVERYTHING and drank it from a glass. Because our server was slow, our entrées came out almost Luke warm at best. It didn't take away from the flavor so we just chose to eat it.
Ordered seared ahi tuna. Specifically told of my hot spice sensitivity and asked for no wasabi. It came covered with wasabi. It was squirted all across the dish with the beautiful tuna all over it. After telling the waitress, she took it back, came out and said it was the last serving and they would fix it. And would re-sear it. Well, it came out seared on both sliced sides. Just ruined. Also when asked for the missing seaweed salad I was told they ran out. No apologies. No compensation. When we questioned the charge, management argued with us about it.
We went on a Monday night to eat and watch the hockey game with friends. The person seating everyone was MIA, so took forever to get 3 groups waiting at the door seated. Once seated, our waitress was great and very attentive. We asked if we could get one of the TVs turned to the game, but was told that the person who knew how to change channels was off. What??? I guess it’s a little more complicated than our standard remote, but how difficult is that to train up a bartender or shift Mgr to do? The food got to our table pretty quick, but nothing worth going back for. Ratings: 1 - Hostess 5 - Waitress 3 - Food 0 - The guy with the remote 0 - Mgr Recommendation: Hire more staff, train them (more than one deep on every job), get a manager & night manager that’s leading from out in front. If you can’t serve better food, then at least pile on the things that don’t cost so much, i.e. fries, celery, carrots, etc (full plate of something). Thanks for reading.
Will never go back, due to poor service. Place was empty yet took an hour to get basic simple meal due to kitchen staff shortage. Party of 12 across from us took 2 hours to get their meal. Only thing manager could do or say was “sorry”! Chefs left as soon as our meal was served and said kitchen is closed!
One of our party started with a martini that lacked noticeable alcohol, so that's not a good start for a "tap room." The waitress's response when that was pointed out was "then you should have ordered two!" Mmm hm. The food was OK, though, accounting for the "average" rating. But the competition is strong in Columbia, and it's not hard to find better dining and drinking environments.
The service here is a joke and the entire place reeks of old, stale and rotten beer. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is the food wasn't terrible.
?? give it two thumbs up. Great bar atmosphere and food is ok.
Good beer, good food, good times!
Dining side and Bar side. When it's not busy they seat everyone on the bar side. It's was fine for us but if you want a quieter dining experience this would not be it. The service was okay. Acknowledgment of a refill or something missing needed to be made. Food quality was fair. Steak was stringy and fatty. Baked potato came naked. Salad wedge was okay but the bacon pieces were hard or burnt. Sweet tea was way too sweet and needed to be halved with unsweet to make it drinkable. The restrooms were not very clean but handicap tightly accessible. The parking was good but would fill up quickly if busy.
The Liberty is a nice restaurant and very accommodating to big parties. We had a party of 20 and the staff took care of us quickly and with no hesitation. They were very friendly and helpful as well. The food was very good and the atmosphere is awesome.
