Worst Chinese restaurant experience in over 20 years. I can’t speak to the seafood but everything else was horrendous. We tried a little bit of everything (besides the seafood) HOPING something would be tolerable and it was all disgusting. The sushi tasted like rubber, the sweet and sour sauce tasted like soap, the vegetable lo mein only had noodles- absolutely nothing else and the noodles didn’t taste like anything; even the banana pudding was gross- it was almost dusty. My husband tried the grill and said the ingredients were fresh but the noodles tasted like sponges. We WANTED to love this place so we kept trying different things but nothing was even “okay”. The waitress was very pleasant, answered our questions and was excellent with our 3 young kids but she was on the phone on her AirPods. It was EXTREMELY overpriced at $17.50 per adult, $7 for my 4 year old and $5 for my 2 year old and you must pay before you are seated.
Ate here with family and sampled a little of everything. I always expect the worst of buffets but this place exceeded expectations.Food was great! My only complaint was that the water and soda had a strange aftertaste to it. I suspect something is wrong with the soda fountain or whatever they use to store/pour their drinks. Whatever it is -it isn't good. I drank my mountain dew but I couldn't drink my water because of it. It wasn't all our drinks however as some had the aftertaste to it and some did not.I'd definitely recommend this place despite that issue.
I loved this place! I will definitely be coming back! The service was great and the atmosphere was also! You walk in and pay and are able to eat! I would say it can be pricey depending on how many people but other than the price it was amazing! I like a very very clean place to eat and this was just that and most importantly the food was very very good!
Amazing array of food, all delicious and well cooked and well rotated. Salad bar was fresh, I'm sad I didn't make it to the fruit section. Main courses were delicious, and the small dessert bar was really good too. Plates were taken away quickly and drinks were refilled when needed and staff was friendly and helpful. The price is really great for the food they provide.
Very very rude sushi attendant. I frequented this place 4 times a week just for sushi and dumplings. However, there is a young boy in there now who is extremely rude. I took my son for his first experience at the sushi bar, and he like I was totally appalled at the behavior of this aggressive and rude young man. While I was getting my sushi, this boy stopped and stared at us. With his hands on the counter spread apart facing us just staring with this horrible look on his face. I asked him because of the cultural differences is everything ok? (And he continued to stare with this extreme hateful look in his eyes just staring without budging). So my son moved behind my back because he was so uncomfortable at the sushi guys demeanor and behavior. I then asked the sushi supplier, if he knew that staring was rude “hence me mentioning cultural differences.” Maybe he didn’t know. But he just continued this rude behavior and presented weird grunts like “what” and “mmmm” . I was really upset because of how he made us feel especially my son being new there.I told front desk by calling in a couple mins later. I had to leave right away because I was so furious, I could not dare to express myself calmly going through something like that. I asked the women on the phone to relay this to the manager. I really hope she did. I want him to know that this boy caused him a customer who spends quite a bit in this establishment 4 times a week at minimum. This experience was so strange I won’t be making lunch dates, business meetings or referring anyone here anymore. This happened last week. And I have found a few better places in columbia that has great service, well mannered attendants and a great environment for all ages. We have stopped coming here completely. Watch for yourself, if anyone else experiences this please post as well so the manager can be aware of his continued behavior. Thanks for your time.
Quick seating. Hot, fresh, delicious food. Still wearing masks if unvaccinated. Using glove at the food bars. Stl using plastic utensils. Overall A+++
The food is so much better than the last time I came here. I have been coming here since before they changed their name to Jasmine. Taste like they have gotten back to the great place they were then!!!
The food was really 3 stars considering the $13.99 lunch price, but the staff was friendly. Everything looked decent, but was oily with little flavor. The sushi looked better than it tasted. You'd probably be better off buying made to order Chinese food or sushi for this price, unless you just want bulk. I wouldn't return for the buffet.
The food was very good. They have a great selection of items on the buffet plus they have a grill for cooked to order items. If you go early, 3:30- ish, you can get items from the lunch menu and they change to dinner at 4 so you can get things from that menu as well.Jasmine was clean, well stocked, and had good service too.
I've been going to Jasmine's since they opened years ago. They were my favorite Chinese buffet in town. Last week, I stopped in for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. I understand many things have changed, and the price of nearly everything has increased. I don't have a problem with a price increase, but the quality has gone down tremendously. The noodles were cut in thirds, and ridiculous amounts of vegetables are mixed in to stretch the portions. Again, I do not mind paying more money, but you can not ask for money and reduce the quality. I'm very disappointed.
