I would not recommend Drakes Duck In. I ate there for lunch yesterday. I got the two price basket. The chicken was fried in old grease you can taste it in the chicken. Due to that i got food poisoning with symptoms of vomiting and severe diarrhea.
First time eating here was today. Was on door dash trying to find something new and this little place showed up so I decided to give it a chance. I ordered the chili cheese dog with onions, 4 chicken fingers, and chili cheese fries. The fingers were great , fully cooked, flavorful, and about medium sized. They honey mustard they have a sweet and tastes great. The chili cheese fries were ok. I did not like the chili on the fries, it had a sweet taste to it but it was NOT horrible, just not my taste. The actual fries were crispy and the cheese they used was shredded not queso. I prefer queso. The chilil cheese dog was great. Oddly enough, the chili used on the hotdog was good and not sweet at all so I actually enjoyed that. Next time I choose to eat here I will make sure that I go in person to check out the brick and mortar!
This is by far the best food I have had in Columbia, South Carolina yet and I will recommend eating here to anyone amazing food and wonderful service 10 out of 10 A+ rating
The staff is extremely nice and welcoming! Especially for it being my first time. Service is out of this world. They kept it really clean inside and the food is 10/10! ! I highly recommend giving them a shot if you haven’t already. I love supporting local businesses and this spot was the perfect choice. Great job Drake’s Duck-In ?
Nice little place downtown Columbia. Currently under some renovation. Food was good and coffee was hot and tasty. Decor was out of the 70's. Decent prices. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had the ham and cheese omelette. Wife had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and daughter had eggs sunny side up.
Customer service was not on point on my visit. There were two representatives up front. The female rep was slow and leaning on the counter not presenting herself as someone willing to assist customers. The male rep was busy trying to handle the online orders that weee coming in. I ordered a wing snack and a side of fries but didn’t receive the fries. I stood in line for 8 minutes to get the item. There were several other patrons in line expressing their displeasure with the poor service being provided. The restaurant is undergoing renovation which limits space inside. There was a supervisor of sorts who came up front and saw that there was a line of patrons but did not assist her overwhelmed crew. I will not return even though the chicken was pretty good.
Excellent hot and fresh food. The service was great and the wait time is less than 5 minutes. Went right back for round two. ?♥️
Was not impressed.....building dirty, not construction dirty (They are under construction) but OLD dirt, just simple lack of sanitation. Chicken was dry and tasteless. Definitely not the DUCK IN I remeber......... So sad ?!

Classic old joint located on Main Street. Stopped on a Saturday morning...yes, the interior is old...but it has a classic, retro vibe to it. The lady taking orders was smiling and friendly. I had the lunch soecial and the order was filled quickly. The chicken was really good. The fries were tasty as well. I had a sweet tea to drink. The prices are really nice. Always good to patronize a locally owned restaurant.
