Great service. Pizza was ok. Kinda middle of the road but I only ordered two slices by the slice & not a whole pie. The slices were a little dry like leftover warmed up pizza and my ice water tasted like rust. Again the staff was super cool and the restaurant clean and neat. I think next time we’ll order a fresh whole pie and bring bottled water. The cannoli was good.
Me and my son really enjoyed the restaurant. My daughter wasn't much of a fan. I enjoyed everything...even the tea. We each ordered 2 slices but one would've sufficed. It was hot and what I expected it to taste like. We also got the French fries and the garlic knots, which both came our piping hot. For dessert, we ordered a cannoli and cheesecake. The cannoli was good and the cheesecake was delicious! The service was great and with a smile. The only thing I was not pleased with was they were so packed that patio seating was the only seating available at the time. But, that's on me because I didn't want to wait for an indoor seat. But, We will be back soon.
Ok..honest pizza review time! So they say New York style pizza? - THEY ARE CORRECT! This pizza is the BOMB! The crust, the sauce(omg excellent!) the toppings - top notch delicious! Wow, it was spectacular! Asked for a little well done and it was really - really good! The crust was chewy and flavorful. Everybody needs to check this place out! The service was really good too! Our server was Robert - funny, kept the drinks coming, perfect service. Nice job Dano's! We will be back!
Moved to a bigger space and got too big for their britches. Leadership needs a revamp. After being told there was a wait, we decided to order, pay and tip at bar. The hostess who initially told us there was a wait came to us at the bar, seeing we had our order and told us that our table was still available and invited us to sit down. We did. We then got an inappropriate and unprofessional visit from the manager (who should have thanked us for our business...especially since we traveled 2 hours) who scolded us for sitting at the table his hostess appointed us. Clearly, this was a coaching opportunity for his staff. This was unacceptable and not professional from a customer standpoint. Will never give them our business again & family who resides in town will not either.
Had a taste for pizza today and wanted to try something new. We choose to have lunch at Dano’s Pizza on Rosewood Drive today for the first time . Atmosphere was steady and area was pretty clean . Customer service was less than desirable. We were seated and waited for about 10 with no approaching our table. We had to “stop” a wait staff to ask if someone would be coming to wait on us.The only other African American person is the restaurant was the young lady that waited on us . Her service was great . The Manager it appeared to be ..Walked the entire restaurant and not once greeted our table . Greeted other tables but not ours. “Horrible Management” ?. Pizza was tasty and fries were lukewarm . They served the pizza ? on “2”paper plates put together! Would never return ?
This place is a gem. We recently moved to the area and enjoy several of the pizza places around, but this one is probably my favorite. Great pizza every time, great salads and cold beer. Prices are what's expected and everything tastes fresh.
They used to be a five out of five no joke! They have gone from a four to a three. I’ve been about 30 or 40 times in the past 6 years and the attention to simple things like doneness and freshness fell off the past 4 visits. I usually give two chances, but since I’ve loved this place in the past I gave them four chances. Never again. Nicky’s in Lexington, and even Papa Gio’s in Irmo top this restaurant every time.
Been looking for a great pizza place in Columbia and this is it. Its leagues better that all the other Pizza chains and restaurants out here! NJ/NY style and taste amazing. I bought more than enough and my family still fought over the slices( the ones I didn't hoard away for myself?)* Extra cheese pie?
I would give Dano’s six stars if I could. Have been eating there for years and love it. But last night I hosted a function there in the patio area. At least 30 folks were there for several hours. The food was perfect, and our server was exceptional. I have actually never been so impressed with service. She literally made the night better because of how remarkable she was.
