First time since leaving NY we had actual authentic Trini food! With taste! Not bland Americanized. We had roti with chana and curry chicken. We will definitely be back!
This is my second time visiting this establishment and I will definitely be back!! The first time I came with a group of friends and we all ordered something different and shared… The young lady who takes the orders is so friendly and sweet! ? The food is authentic delicious Caribbean cuisine! I’m sad that I’m only here for a month because I would love to visit them on the regular! I’ve had the brown stew chicken, patties, jerk chicken wings, salmon, cabbage, rice and peas… you will not be disappointed
Food was bland. I ordered Mac n cheese with collard greens n stew chicken. None of it had flavor. The meat tasted like it was reheated from the day before. I had to add my own seasonings to finish the food. I ordered on a Monday maybe that’s why it was below sub par. Wish I could get my money back.
The island rice and jerk chicken were delicious! My plates came out hott and loaded with mac&cheese! The cashier is so sweet, I feel like we're friends now and she doesn't even know it yet lol. The owner was kind enough to discuss with me the many benefits of the sea moss he sells so ofcourse I had to grab a jar before leaving!! This establishment is clean and warm welcoming. Well worth taking a friend to lunch here, or even picking up dinner on the way home. And u can feel good about supporting a local business thats an asset to the deckor blvd community
I’d be shocked if it were really Caribbean cooks in that kitchen because this food was not anywhere near standard. I ordered bbq chicken rice and peas & cabbage the bbq chicken was not hot rice and peas mushy and no flavor at all cabbage was discolored and overloaded with pepper as the main seasoning I guess! I tossed it in the trash after tasting it. Did not look appealing from the moment I opened the tray so I should’ve known! I’ll stick to what I know from here forward!
Best authentic carribean food in South Carolina. Food is amazing and fresh. Definitely made with love and soul from the islands ❤️
Chelsea, the cashier was so nice. Her presence and attitude was friendly from the time that I walked in. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas and cabbage. It was sooo delicious. Oh my goodness, it was soo good. I will be coming back!
My experience was nice soon as I walked in the door the cashier chandrell was kind to me and I appreciate that I'm big on that. The food you got to come in and try it it was good. The jerk chicken was on point
The oxtails were not good as they usually are. We brought a friend to try it and she was disappointed. The jerk chicken wings were excellent. The beet juice was tasty when it was refrigerated.
The atmosphere was great, everybody we met was very friendly and great customer service. The food was AMAZING ?? will definitely be back soon!!
