had the worst meal ever order was for fresh fish Looked and tasted like food had been hanging around kitchen for weeks When I complained Was told new chef and to work with them Hard to belive
We went for a friend's birthday and it was our first visit. We had a drink at the bar while we waited a few minutes for our table. The service and food were both excellent. My shrimp and grits were rich and creamy and had plenty of plump delicious shrimp. The salmon, pork chop and seafood pasta were also delicious. The mussels appetizer was the perfect way to start our meal. We didn't have room for dessert but maybe next time.
This is the best in Columbia dining. The place is cool, great vibes, good people watching, excellent food, the service is superior. We have been several times since moving here and it is consistently awesome.
The food was very delicious. I had the salmon and grits with a side of spinach. The salmon was perfectly seasoned. The grits was very creamy with a perfect texture seasoned perfectly. The spinach was delicious as well with not too much garlic and was very light on the oil for sautéing. The desert was very smooth and delicious ? with a perfect chill on the mousse.
I have lived in Columbia for almost 3 years and this was my first visit. After hearing great reviews and being told i “had to try it” I decided to go on a date night here. The service was mediocre at best. The cocktails were very underwhelming, especially for Columbia which has great places for drinks. We ordered the calamari and is was not cooked fully. The batter was still liquid on about 1/3 of the appetizer. I ordered the spice rubbed chicken and my date ordered the brick chicken. The quality of the cooking was great.. both pieces of chicken were cooked very well. However, the taste and seasoning of the dishes were bland. The best tasting thing was the sweet potato because it was just baked. I have zero problem spending $150+ on dinner that is quality. This was over $100 for two people and was not worth it. Will definitely not be going back.
Overrated. Brie Fondue wasn’t thick, raspberry preserves tasted like the corn syrup kind. Bread was hard. Mussels were over cooked in the most tasteless “broth”. And the garlic bread looked like sub rolls cut in half and dipped in butter… The apricot sauce that came with the founder was also sickly sweet reminded me of Chinese orange chicken. Was supposed to come with linguine which was swapped for rosemary/Parmesan grits which again tasted nothing like Parmesan and the grits were so hard I just left it. Drinks weren’t special, if you like classics sure but don’t go here for cocktails if you want something different try Hendrix or COA. Two stars is for the extremely great service from our waiter and the rest of the staff!
Very tasty as usual. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent service, ambiance, food & drinks. Everything!!! We have been exploring all over town and this is the best over all in town!
Exceptionally nice restuarant. The wine list was respectable and not too over priced. The menu changes with availability and offered some great appetizers, salads, and meals. The mussel appetizer is big enough for a main course. Our server Ben was attentive, knowledgeable, and prompt. The food was good, but not great. The broth with the mussels was tasteless and some of the the mussels were so overcooked they were crispy. The braised beef was stringy and overcooked. The best part were the carrots which were perfectly prepared and sweet enough to be dessert.
We were visiting Columbia for a concert but Cola's stole the show. Emily privided excellent customer service from beginning to end every food choice we made caused us to grin excitedly like Chesshire Cats. We are from Atlanta so the prices felt like a steal to us with cocktails averaging around $8. If your going for something small like an appetizer, try the Shrimp Savannah and thank me later.
