I used to love this restaurant and we ate there often . There was a miscommunication over the fact that I ordered chicken quesadillas or enchiladas . It should have been a very simple issue but in January when Covid was everywhere the lady was very rude demanded I bring the food back and I did and as polite as I was argued in the restaurant with me until I said the words I ordered the food wrong . It was a very strange experience . Maybe worse for her because the next day we all tested positive for the flu . Why on earth would you ask someone to bring back a enchilada from the a la cart menu . Normally I would have just left it alone but the quesadilla is the only thing my child eats . I hope they didn’t serve the enchiladas to someone else .
This place was fantastic! We got here at 4pm was seated immediately.Server/bartender was quick and personable!I ordered the Chapala Fajitas! That was a party of flavors in my mouth!
The food is real good, not too expensive, and they have good service. I do plan to go back

Chapala is a solid Mexican restaurant. Their guacamole is easily one of my favorites around Irmo. The tamales seem to be hit or miss. The burritos are great as are the enchiladas. The tacos are good, as well. The nachos left a little bit to be desired. The queso was awesome, though. The chips are fresh and warm, which is a huge plus for me. The decor of the restaurant is nice and the staff is pleasant. I would, and have, come back here again.
The food was pretty good but they mixed up my order, placing an item I was allergic to in my takeout container, instead of just in my husbands as I had requested. I wasn't given time to say I was allergic to the item, I said for them to hold it. I thought I would be given time to explain how important it was to keep the item off the plate but they were so rushed that once they had my order they hung up the phone (they had not even taken my name down!). I called back to confirm the order and they hung it up again before I could explain. It would be nice to be given a minute or so to be able to specify that items needing to be left off an order are left off for a good reason.

I have eaten here for over 8 months at least 2 times a week, if not 3 times. I always ordered vegetarian dishes and most times my order was taken by same 2 folks. They recently messed up and gave me 2 meat enchiladas. I called 2x when I got home at after 9pm. No answer and I left a message. Went back next day showed them picture of the dish and where I had called 2x. I assumed that they would give me the correct order that night, very next night after they messed it up. The lady who had given me my messed up ordered the night before said they don’t answer after 9pm and still wanted me to pay for a new dish. Last time I go there, unreal.
Love it…always good, cheap, fast..friendly.Cele is the perfect waitress too!
Chapala fajitas are the best and customer service is always amazing here.
