Stopped by after a game on campus. If you're looking for authentic Mexican, this isn't the place. If you're open minded and just looking for an easy option with a drink menu, this place will do. Tried the multiple different shrimp tacos and all were good, just not anything to impress you. Salsa and bean dip was good. Tried a couple different margaritas off theemu and all were done very well. Staff was great, very pleasant and attentive.I'd go back, but probably for drinks and apps.
Great food and atmosphere. It was a perfect day for patio searing which we enjoyed. The Devine and Lucky Charm drinks were everything. The surf and Turf taco gave EVERYTHING that needed to be given!!! Service was pretty good, a little more attentiveness would have been helpful, but he was super kind!!! Great space for casual connections and catchups!
I call and ask for a Trio hombre and get little to no guacamole and when I call to complain I get a angry manager on the phone that tells me not to speak to him in the way I did.... so you want me to drive 20 mins to go get the other half portion of the guacamole?????? Joke of a restaurant We have given them several chances and still cant make up for it. Don't give attitude to your customers.
Decided to visit last night for my birthday dinner because we love Cantina. Sat outside, and as always the food was delicious. Our waitress on the other hand wasn't really worth the mention. She initially brought 3 waters for 4 people at the table and acted like we weren't a priority. Our app came out before the soft drinks we ordered, food was tasty, but her service was sub par.
Service was super friendly and very attentive! Most of us ordered a variety of tacos(you pay per taco), and one person got a chimichanga. All of us were blown away by the flavor and freshness of our food!
If you are looking Mexican food this is not it. My wife and I ate there on 2/7/2022. I had the blackened shrimp taco and rice and my wife had the enchiladas and rice with fried beans. Needless to say that none of our dishes tasted like Mexican. The rice tasted like rice Ronni from the box and the tortillas for my taco was hard and cold tasted like store bought and only had four little popcorn shrimp and the beans tasted like hot dog chili not refried beans. The queso and the chips were the best part of our meal. So if you are looking for Mexican cuisine I do not recommend this place.
This was my very first visit to this establishment. Came in on a Tuesday evening and this place was quite busy. With there being a 15 minute wait on a table, we sat at the hightop by the bar. We got our first contact instantly by the bartender, but didn't see her very much after that and placing our orders. I am understanding of this due to how busy it was. We ordered the chips and queso for starters and it was pretty good. The queso was fresh and hot and very flavorful, and the chips were great too. I ordered the surf n' turf, roasted chicken, and jalapeno shrimp tacos, and rice for the main course. It took a little over half an hour to get the main dishes after ordering, and again I get it was busy, but the food was a little underwhelming. The steak on the taco was hard and overcooked, and the taco shells were hard as if they had been sitting in the window a while. The shrimp also was room temperature and did not taste fresh.
This place has fantastic food, especially their Tacos. The offer over a dozen different kinds with great flavors. Price is not too bad.
The stars are strictly because the food was amazing. We were warned by a table beside us after waiting 20 minutes for a waiter that "service had been bad" tonight. I understand with the pandemic being short staffed is a thing, but it seems like every other table was getting waited on. Our waiter was the most inattentive waiter I think I've ever had. Even though it was cold we were okay with sitting outside because we had said "first available," but holy moly it got cold waiting for him. He was super unapologetic when he finally showed up. He did not bring out my husband's sweet tea...ever. We never got napkins or silverware until we asked the bus boy for them. We didn't get any refills on chips or drinks. He only came back when we were done eating and ready for the check. We got charged for the missing sweet tea, but at that point it wasn't worth correcting him. Cantina 76 is normally amazing, but this was the worst experience I've had with service I've ever had BY FAR.
Best tacos I’ve had in Columbia. Decor and ambiance was cool and our waitress was great. Looking forward to eating here again!
