I ordered Mac an cheese collard greens rice and chitterlings. Mac an cheese was good but I couldn’t eat it the rest from the smell of the chitterlings. Chitterlings was NOT clean at all.
Food very tasty. Seasoned to perfection. I've tried meatloaf, liver and onions, turkey wings, smothered pork chop. Yummy. Talking about it makes me want it again. Get yours today.
I absolutely love Von's!! I've never had a bad experience there and I would eat there four times a week or more if I wasn't worried about trying to lose weight.???
I really like the food and the people are nice. If you're in the neighborhood, go on over to Bob's and get you something to eat. I highly recommend them!
I happened to be in the area for business and the hotel staff highly recommended this restaurant to me. I order the beef stew, rice, black eyed peas and greens. I got the sweet potato pie for dessert. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of my meal. This might have been the best soul food I have ever been served. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant - highly recommended!
The food is delicious. Now I haven't tried everything. What I love there is their spaghetti. I'm super picky when it comes to spaghetti. Love theirs. Plus no heart burn from the sauce... Also the portions are generous. And they make sure you get enough. The staff is friendly and courteous. If you've never been there please go. You're gonna love it.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day but how is it soul food with no seasoning on my meat or okra. The worse yams I ever had! Maybe I need to try something different but I don’t know if I will be going back tbh.
Second best soul food diner I have been to in 50 years! Best fried okra ever; hot, crispy coating, not greasy, perfect seasoning!!! I am not great fan of yams... But, these were first to be devoured, followed by the okra....lol The beef stew over rice was absolutely fantastic ? Really nice folks, too! Do yourself a special favor, and try this place....
