We don't get to eat out often but when we do we would prefer it to be at a place that is totally worth it. 1801 Grille nailed it. Our waitress T was absolutely fantastic. Personable, witty, knowledgeable and attentive. The picture of great service. The food was off the chain. Great mix of flavors and variety for this type of restaurant. There will definitely be return trips. See you soon!

I have been to 1801 twice for dinner and really like the ambiance and food. Looking at the menu, the have all the normal entrees you see everywhere else, but 1801 elevates them to something much better. So far I have tried two appetizers, two salads plus the Shrimp and Grits. Appetizer-wise, I highly recommend the Crab Cakes. You get two cakes on top of a bed of corn and beans and drizzled with a nice white sauce. I loved it. I've also had the Pimento Cheese with Crispy Flatbread and was disappointed. The pimento cheese was not creamy and the flat bread was thick and hard. Salad-wise, I loved the Fennel Apple Salad and it was a perfect size to share as a first course. I also had the Beet and Arugula Salad and thought it was way to much Arugula and not enough of the toppings. Last was the Shrimp and Grits which was delicious. The shrimp were blackened and tasty and the entire dish had a moat of Cajun cream sauce around the grits which was amazing and really added to the dish. Last, they have their own parking lot which is a plus not having to pay for parking.

This place looks nice on the outside and on the inside. It was rather easy to make reservations. The service was adequate. The bar was super slow.I really enjoyed my Smokey Margarita. They were out of grapefruit juice for their 1801 Paloma, which was a bit disappointing. Blackberry Breeze cocktail was very good. Garnet Lemonade would satisfy a red wine lover. And the Last Word cocktail was refreshing and fun.We had baked smoked gouda as an appetizer. The marinara sauce it came with was the star of this appetizer. Gouda didn't taste smoked at all.For the main course we had 1801 steak (one medium rare and one medium). Steaks were cooked to the right temperature. Steaks and the side they came with were under-seasoned. Specifically lacked salt. Also, roasted rosemary potatoes didn't have any rosemary in them. Sweet potato fries could've used some more salt, too, in my opinion. The sweet potato cheesecake was great!

Always 5 stars!! I love the beautiful, modern, cozy atmosphere... the staff are always so friendly and Dee is my favorite waitress ever - she always makes everyone feel at ease, explains specials, and brings smiles to people's faces! My favorite is the chicken with red roasted potatoes and white sauce (delicious!!!). I love all of the appetizers too. Please bring back the kale and sunflower seed salad that came with the chicken- it's so good with the sauce!Highly recommend!!

It’s just good food at a good spot. There is nothing bad about it.

First time in today, we were heading to a show at the Koger Center. They were booked but we lucked upon two seats at the bar, and I LOVE that we ended up in those seats. The bartenders were busting their butts, but we were highly entertained and well waited on. We saw all the servers grabbing their drink orders, helping each other out. Truly some of the nicest staff in town. The Drinks were amazing, the food was amazing and the whole staff was top notch! Looking forward to another trip where I will wait for the same seats at the bar!

Loved the old menu woth the Cajun Mac and cheese. The new menu I hope they come back with it. Food is good and fried have a much better flavor now. Hope the new chef listens and puts his own twist on the Mac and cheese

Food was fine. Service was a bit confused repeatedly. We sat and watched our salad sit, waiting to be delivered for quite a while. Server bringing our app failed to bring plates. Not the waiter’s fault, they appear to have a system where others try to deliver food. Had to ask multiple times for wife’s side of ranch. Almost had someone else’s burgers delivered to us. Maybe staff don’t get the table numbers?Gouda bites had minimal Gouda. Salad was soggy by the time we got it and was delivered with entree. Pimento cheese burger was ok but Rockaways is way better. Like 10x better. Also, the older lady assembling food wore her mask around her chin and cooks were totally unmasked if that worries you.

What a disappointed. First timers. Waited for over an hour for our food. Bartender was amazing and the food was good. We literally waited over an hour to get our food. They comped us one meal and gave us a desert so they tried to make it right. If you have a ton of patience try it out. If not go somewhere else.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food. I had the Reuben, my wife had the Patty Melt, both were absolutely delicious! Both were very fresh and flavorful. Our server was Autumn, she was professional, courteous, personable and very attentive. We will eat here again when in Columbia.
