I love the waffle house, but it is going to you know what.I have never gotten my order right in the 25 times I have visited this store. The common denominator is the cook. He should know without asking and yet he always gets something wrong. Tonight was the biggest mistake of all. Hey dude, no jalapeños means just that!
If ordering online, make sure to check your order before picking it up! I ordered hashbrowns all the way with gravy, chili, etc. and they ended up forgetting most of the toppings. I didn't check until I got home so I ended up paying extra for stuff I didn't receive. I wouldn't even trust getting delivery from them. Be careful! (Dining in is probably safe.)
Waitress didn't want to be there. Main cook yelled at his friends coming in & out of the place like it was some sport event or club? Simple things like getting hashbrowns when ordered grits. Hard fried eggs when asked for scrambled with onion & cheese. Waffle was so cold wouldn't even melt butter.Complained, and Waitress said"oh ok" I'll make it over. After waiting what seemed like forever. Only refilled our teas after I took all three cups to the counter and said I NEED TEA.Horrible service. Need to check up on employees and establishment more often owner!And make manager on duty responsible for the lack of!
Ordered Togo. They didn't put my sausage in the bag. When it came with the meal. Had to drive back. Wasn't offered a discount or remake since everything was then cold. Hire people who can read and pack bags correctly.
I had not had Waffel House since i left 15 years ago and back then it was so great. I tried it upon my return at the same building i used to enjoy and it clearly was not the same. Also, being told at 10pm that its online order only on a not so busy night was kind of disappointing. It seemed as if the staff just didnt want people inside. I counted 9 vehicles outside attempting to order from the Waffel house website. This way the Hwy17 location in Charleston SC. I think the actial address is 2224 or 2229 Savannah Hwy.
Why did i get told to do takeout. And they didn’t take my order. All i wanted was bacon. Very sad. Having a crisis right now. Why couldn’t they help me? Not what i expect from the safe haven thats supposed to be waffle house. Its supposed to be a safe space. Its not in fact safe, or a space. Got threatened to be human trafficked. What is going on
Save yourself the headache and just cook. If you want to be ignored and wait longer than expected just for your order to be wrong or incomplete then come here.Edit: Food is really good. Might be worth the headache.
Some things never change this one has always been a 3 star for me. Once in a while I'll get a server that really does a fantastic job but mostly the servers here just want to be anywhere else. The food is usually hot and hasn't changed much in 30 years.
Jam packed, on a wait but worth waiting for. Plenty of staff on hand Chrismas day. Nice breakfast with the family. I got the All Star which includes a waffle, great with chocolate chips on top. Glad to find a place willing to remain open on the holiday.
Yeah, I know it's Waffle House, but we've eaten at a lot of Waffle Houses. This one is by far, the absolute worst. We sat at the least dirty table, thinking our server would wipe it when she came to take our order...after she was done resting her head on the counter. Nope. I finally wet some napkins in the bathroom and got the top layer of yuck up. Which, btw, she watched me do when she brought the coffee. My order was wrong. My husband's ham was forgotten. When we asked about it, we were told we were lucky we said something when we did cause he was about to break his grill down. Coffee refill? Nah. I didn't want to interrupt her resting on the counter again. For the record, we were there at 6:30ish, so not an odd time for decent service.
