Our server was amazing! She sounds like a staple for that location! Our first stop in Charleston leaning the airport bc we were starving bc nothing was open and she took great care of us! Biscuits and gravy were pretty good! And super cheap only 5.50 I think for that breakfast with eggs! And of course the waffles didn't disappoint! She even made us her specialty one!
This review is only 5 stars because of the chef that works here. Just ask for E, cuz he serve everyone perfect-LY!!I watched this dude crush 12 different orders, while his waitresses called out other orders. He didn’t miss a beat, all off memory. We walked in while it was busy and no where to sit. He spoke us immediately and asked our order within a couple of minutes. Best service I’ve ever seen!
Friendly staff, good food, good price. This is what Waffle House is all about. We ate here a few times on our trip. Good quick breakfast in the morning.
This is one of my go-to places to get a meal near Charleston for the good price and food done right. I’ve meet a decent amount of the staff and they’ve always been fun to meet. Exactly how it should be. Thanks for the good times!
I would give this Waffle House a zero, because zero service was what we were provided. We were able to sit down immediately, in a booth. There was remnants of coffee spill and perhaps syrup....we didn't touch it obviously, and we had to ASK to get our table cleaned after no less that 6 passings of two different waitresses, neither of which acknowledged our presence in any manner. Once we asked to have our table cleaned, the waitress directed the request to to waitress assigned to us, I could audibly hear her comment with a negative attitude and body language that suggested she resented being asked to have our table cleaned. Again, this request came after about 6 times of being walked past by this waitress, and the other one, without speaking to or acknowledging us at all. We STILL had to wait on the waitress, who we became aware was our our assigned waitress by virtue if request for a cleaned table, obnoxiously and purposely took her sweet time to a further degree of defiance and blatant rudeness! Her statements are loud and clear, but the only one looking like a rude, self-driving, entitled person is this waitress who shouldn't be in public service in any realm! The other reviews and pictures of this same waitress on public review forums supports my own review of today's horrible experience.
Sat at an empty table that was available but had not yet been wiped off from the last patron’s meal. Several staff walked past my friend and I who were never greeted upon our arrival. The staff did not make eye contact, did not hand us menus, never offered to wipe off the table. They basically ignored us. Again, there was no line when we entered and the booth was empty, so it wasn’t that the workers were too busy to say “hello. I’ll be right back to wipe your table.” After close to 10 min of sitting, my friend waved her hand to ask the one female server who kept passing by our table doing and saying nothing if she could please have someone wipe the table. This woman never responded to us but rather repeated to her coworker what had been asked. She walked out of sight through the swinging door with another worker and proceeded to put on a Waffle House paper hat and basically appeared to be wasting time rather than attending to patrons. It was the most blatant rudeness and willful ignoring of customers I have ever experienced, and I am middle aged and eaten out for decades! My friend and I ended up walking out after having never been spoken to and drove to the Waffle House on Saul White Blvd - location in N. Charleston where we had terrific service by two friendly workers who earned a $20 tip! Do NOT go to this Savannah Hwy location beside Holiday Inn unless you are prepared to be ignored.
this location had a very nice server...great place to eat
We went here on an extremely crowded Sunday morning. We had to wait for about 30 minutes, but this was not the fault of the restaurant. We are from the South, and understand the regional mystique of the Waffle House. It aggravates me to see tourists running down the Waffle House. The food is cheap - really an incredible bargain - the picture menu is cool - and most people don't realize they are getting a free show with their food. We have nevr been treated with anything less than respect at any Waffle House, because we show respect to the employees and appreciate what they do. I don't work for the Waffle House, and they didn't pay me!
Good service, good food. Everything cooked just the way I like it. Extra crispy hashbrowns; bacon was real crisp, no limpness!; eggs were good and toast was just right. Definitely will return.
Good place for late night refueling.Kids like the hashbrown and meal deals. I think I was overcharged about $10 late Saturday night: ordered 3 double hash, omelette and $4.75 breakfast (5 items). Total was > $36 plus $6 tip. I was so tired I didn't ask for itemized bill. Next night, we ordered 3 items (2 double hash, a bowl) at another location and it was $17. Hmmmm.Amazing teamwork and very friendly staff. We appreciate the WH but not being overcharged. That's why 3 stars less.
