The Whale CHS :: A Craft Beer Collective on Meeting Street in Charleston is a great place to go for drinks and more in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I really like the location and complex here with plenty of room to move around. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating.
Great beer selection. I definitely need to do some more research before going back. So many to choose from. I love IPAs but ended up drinking an array of things because it's rare to me.

The Ginger,Honey and Pear cider was delicious. The pop up wood burning pizza was nice added touch to the experience.
We arrived and thought we had gone to the wrong place! But tucked around the corner, we found it.Absolutely love the 80s vibe. They even had a little pop up with vendors and we ended up getting two 80s vintage jackets. It was a windy day though so we stayed inside the bar area.Very solid beer selection. Got there before it was crowded but did appreciate they let people bring their dogs inside. Would definitely come back here again!
A rotating selection of carefully curated craft beers on tap (E.g. E9, Tripping Animals, New Realm). These guys are amazing! Frankly, Charleston has an abundance of solidly mediocre breweries serving drinkable but not amazing beer. Thanks to The Whale for bringing great beer to our little town! (And I l still love Brewlab and CT Fermentory, too).
Great local place. The beers and atmosphere are AMAZING. It's away from the hassle and bussel of of the center of downtown. They have a LARGE beer selection and definitely HIGHLY recommended
Fabulous beer selection and the owners are great at helping find the perfect beer for you. Fun atmosphere. My only complaint is that they play hip hop about 90 % of time; would like a little variety.
