Very nice place with a good staff . Meals were a little sparse but adequate . I had the tile fish which was ok ,but the gumbo sauce was more like a brown gravy from a can . The steak tartar was a stand out meal. The other meals were fair to good . This place for me doesn’t need a return run.

We went here because it was one of the few places we could get a table on a Friday night. I'm so glad we did. The cocktails were great and the food was just amazing. There was a real attention to texture and flavour. We went for some shared small plates and every one was a treat. Highly recomended and very good value.
The food here is 4 or 5 stars depending on the dish. The taste, inventiveness, and presentation are all there. Dish was wonderful. However, the ambiance and the service are where The Grocery really struggles and unfortunately it undoes a lot of the good will the kitchen is working so hard to build. The service was down right inattentive, whether from short staffing or otherwise I'm not sure, but we had to repeatedly flag down servers for drinks, water refills, silverware, etc. As for the room itself, there's not much too it.
One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. Each experience has been great. The food is fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any experience. The service in this restaurant is on point. Friendly staff and very informative information about the menu.
Unique selections with fabulous service by Emily.Highly recommend! Fried oysters with a deviled egg sauce and pickles were delightful! The seared scallops with watercress were delicious as well. I loved the sweet potato ricotta gnocchi! And the martini was well done.

The small plates were amazing. Shared three with an entree and dessert for two and it was perfect. I am a big farm to table foodie with a partner who just loves good food so it worked out amazingly.
