Pros-this place is a vibe. Love the atmosphere and decorations. And it’s pet friendly! One of the best frozen margaritas I’ve had, not sweet and doesn’t taste cheap!Expo/ chef brought out lunch and then when it came out wrong they asked no questions and said “I’ll have it right out.”Cons-Not a fan of tacos. We tried Baja fish, grilled fish, and surf and turf. The beef was super dry and everything pretty bland. Our server was very unmotivated, he never even knew of the messed up order or said anything. Only came to table three times- once to greet, once to drop off drinks, and third to drop off bill.Credit card fee? We saw that on bill and decided to pay cash but were still charged.Overall since I am not a Charleston local I will probably check this place off the list and try others in the future!

The Guac Dip was the freshest most delicious I've tasted in a while! Overall, the food was really good. The only drawback we experienced was the fact that we were quoted a 45 minute wait at 8:15PM when there were no others waiting and there seemed to be tables available. Having worked in the restaurant industry I realize this can be due to staffing issues or cleaning process which I completely understand. BUT if this is the case, it helps to keep guests in the know as to why they are waiting so long when there seems to be many tables open and only a few people waiting. We waited for a little over 20 minutes and when I finally went in to ask about the wait she said we'd be seated in the next couple minutes. Fortunately, it wasn't the full 45 minutes. Once sat, the food was good and staff was very friendly. But had to take a star off for the staff not being more transparent as to why we were left waiting outside so long while there were clearly tables open inside. Keeping guests informed goes a long way.

Charleston and Taco = Taco Boy! Everything is made fresh and served to order. I had the Taco Boy Salad with Ahi Tuna plus a Fruit Bowl. Absolutely Delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the service was great. My only complaint is we need more Restaurants like this where I live. Guess I will have to come back to Charleston for more!

Haven’t been here in a bit. Had an appointment downtown, stopped in after. Tacos were awesome. Love the carnitas taco, perfect with that draft Pacifico.

This place deserves no stars- ZEROOOOO… We can’t understand how this restaurant can claim “authentic,” as nothing about the food was anything near that. Our food was cold and the place wasn’t busy. The young hostess clearly hated her job too. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING, which says a lot about the overall standards of the restaurant. I ordered the pineapple margarita and it tasted just like my husbands watered-down regular margarita. I had two bites of my chicken tacos 1) a chunk of fat, 2) a hard piece of cartilage. I ordered the TEN DOLLAR chicken tortilla soup, which was also watered-down. My husbands tacos were besides cold, laughable with the stale store-bought tortillas. The restaurant being right under the highway suited it well. How ever this got good ratings is beyond us.

Best experience ever! Billy was the most caring and generous manager I've ever encountered. We will always be loyal patrons!

Excellent cocktails, service, & food!

The food was great! Lots of veggie/vegan options, which is always appreciated. The patio area is dog friendly. The service was top notch! I definitely recommend a meal here, if you're in Charleston.

Very beautiful and the food was the kind you won’t find elsewhere. You must try the street corn.

We were traveling back to Virginia from Florida when my wife said what do you want for Valentines Day? I said, I would like the Street Corn at Taco Boy in Charleston. She laughed and said lets go. The detour added over 100 miles to our trip but it was worth it! The corn was so good! Our server Brie made the experience worth the extra miles too! I wish they had a Taco Boy in Richmond Va.
