I just went in a couple of hours ago and the staff was super friendly! Had great suggestions for my taste buds! The food was hot, inventive, and presented very well! I’ll be back!
It had a good atmosphere for a bar, but my burrito was just a run of the mill Americanized dish. I’d come back for drinks but not the food.
The food is amazing many variations of tacos and many interesting concepts. There's not a better place around to grab a quick bite or site and chat and enjoy your tacos.
It was okay for a taco bar. We liked the fresh taste of the salsa but thought it could be better. Was not expecting how tiny the tamales were…(!) Those were the smallest (and most expensive) tamales I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. :/ The tamales were also dry, so I def do NOT recommend. The burritos are okay for the price. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed which is a big plus. The waitstaff were chill enough.
Me and my boyfriend were looking for someplace just for lunch and we stumbled along this place. This place was AMAZING!! Quick friendly service and the food was full of flavor and did not disappoint. Next time we’re in Charleston we will definitely stop back by.
I was excited to check this place out for the first time. Sadly, I don’t think I’d return.1) the chairs are awfully uncomfortable and terrible for your back (sorry guess I’m “old”)2) the watermelon vodka drink tasted like cough medicine3) the tacos were meh and tasted kinda mealy and blandThe only redeeming quality was the light chips + guac. Other than that, I wouldn’t return sadly.
We order from here weekly! The Texas Queso and Stuffed Jalapeños are my favorite. The quesadillas are PACKED with meat and always full of flavor. Not to mention, fast + easy to go orders. Highly recommend.
Their wait staff was courteous. Unfortunately the food we had was bad.The tamales tasted like reheated frozen food that had been kept too long or freezer burnt, and I suspect that’s exactly the case, like something from Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon Ramsey calls them out. The sides that came with the tamales also tasted reheated.I had the Thai taco, which was ok, and the taco with blue cheese (can’t recall the name), which was dry and boring. The double tortillas should have been heated in oil or steam or something to soften them up, but they were thick, dry tortillas with dry chunks of meat inside that needed a healthy amount of beverage to wash them down. The flavors did not meld. When I eat a taco, I’m looking for a fresh pop, or unashamed greasy deliciousness, or sizzling smokey flavors, or *something* fun. Nothing here but dry boring flavors.Their “Trio” salsa selection was not great either. The queso was ok, but the guacamole and salsa were pretty bland. The salsa was particularly flavorless and not spicy at all. It was served with cold chips, and cost $8 for the small portion.I also noticed the server accidentally sat someone at a dirty table, and the customer had to wipe all the previous party’s food up before they started their meal. Two stars instead of one because the food was served quickly and courteously and one of my tacos was ok but not great.I won’t be going back to give them a second chance. They don’t have enough going for them to warrant it.
Stopped in for lunch during our trip to Charleston. Wife and I love good tacos. She had the chicken and brisket street tacos. I had the brisket and carnitas. Everything was delicious! We also enjoyed the grilled pineapple salsa!
Small place with big bar. No frills. Good friendly staff. I had a shrimp BBQ tortilla. Tasty! Not sure who goes there? It is a rough place but with staff and tasty food its worth a visit. Seems to have a lot of regulars.
