Pretty great. Everything was tasty including the three sides (mac & cheese, potato salad, corn pudding). Some of the meats were quite dry. Pulled pork and brisket weren't too bad, but the sausages. If they're meant to be pretty lean then that's just personal preference. The peach cobbler tastes good, but there's a really off putting smell to it. Like a stink underneath the sweetness. Don't know if that's just a personal thing though.
Enjoyed a filling and delicious bbq dinner tonight at Swig and Swine. The beef brisket and pulled pork were cooked to perfection and scrumptious. Portions were very generous. There are numerous side choices. We had the baked potato salad and cole slaw. Both were fresh and yummy. In addition to the great food, the service was amazing! Not only did our server check on us multiple times, but other servers stopped by our table, along with the owner/manager. Everyone was so pleasant and the staff seemed actually happy to be there! It was an all around A+ experience! Highly recommend and we will be returning!
Birthday lunch on Saturday. Fabulous food & best service ever. Our waitress was so sweet & efficient. Smoked turkey was moist & delicious. Burnt ends are not on the menu so be sure to ask for them. They were soft, chewy, fatty & perfect! House made pork rinds were sooo good. Make sure you order them withpimento cheese, double delish. Pulled pork & brisket were also perfection. We will be back!
Overall, the experience and food at Swig & Swine were really good! The highlight of the meal was the hash and rice, a dish that was new to me and the whole reason we picked this place. That being said, I was not impressed with the pulled pork, which you would expect to be the specialty of a Carolina BBQ place. It was just average and needed a lot of sauce. Speaking of, the sauces were phenomenal. Everyone will find one they like!
The food is good! Although.. I ordered a 3 meat plate what you get, but the amount is poor. The waiter was constantly at the table asking for if I needed anything, another drink, if it was all good etc. It really really started to annoy me. While I was busy with my last meat, the waiter asked if I wanted dessert.. I not even finished main! When I said no, 2 minutes later I had the check on my table. That is the reason for 3-stars.
Brisket was amazing. Tender and full of smoked flavor. Turkey was very good also. We each tried two sides: Mac & cheese, Cole slaw, collards, and beans with brisket. All were delicious, well seasoned , And ample servings. This is definitely a place to enjoy a great meal. Thanks too for the water bowl for our little dog. Great servers who work well together.
This place speaks for itself, the reviews are justified and this is an excellent little place. The food was superb and the staff great.
I had a booking for Sunday roast at 16:00 but they phone to ask if I could come early as the restaurant was empty. They said their bookings has either cancelled or come early because the weather was so nice, I cancelled they clearly wanted to go home early and the last thing they wanted to do was prepare a Sunday Roast. It was pretty amazing. They left me with no choice.
Delicious barbecue, one of my families favorite places in town. The vinegar based coleslaw is soooooo good and the brisket was perfect.
Stopped by for a late lunch they still had several tables filled! I ordered turkey Cole slaw, corn pudding, guest ordered brisket, corn pudding, beans. Loved everything my guest thought the beans where a little al dente. Service was great food was fast!
