The subs are fantastic and the people are friendly and very helpful and cordial! The bread is so fresh and the ingredients are so delicious! This place has been a community staple since 1976 and I hope they are here for many years more! The food is great and very filling, reasonably priced, and they have a very cozy laid-back atmosphere. Definitely recommend this for any sandwich enthusiast, and for anyone that wants to try something new! My girlfriend loves it here, and I love it now too, will be going back for sure!
Worst sandwich I ever tasted from Substation II. They don’t slice meat. Tasted like cold cut you buy out of the store. Did not get to pick my cheese. Gave me some dinky little white cheese. I normally go to the other one on Orleans road in Charleston but some reason they closed. There was always a choice on cheese, Swiss, provolone and cheddar. They also had wheat bread as well and a toaster. No toaster or wheat bread and the meat is cheap cold cuts. Charge people all that money for some cheap behind cold cut you bought out of the store. Will never go back ever. That’s not real substation sandwiches. Publix sandwiches are way better. Don’t waste your money.
I appreciate how clean, polite, and well organized they ALWAYS are. They're like family everytime I go there. I live in St. Stephen, SC and I travel to Dorchester road at least once or twice a month, that's how good they are and the cakes on Tuesdays are excellent.
Been going here for years. such sweet pple and the subs have always been great. but, for some reason the taste was off today, wasn't what i remembered. hopefully they didn't change anything. if you did please change it back!!
I met some friends for lunch here and it was great, the sandwiches were great and one of my friends had a salad and he liked it a lot. The owner and employees are very nice and the service is excellent. I highly recommend Substation II,,,,, Jonathan Moss
Their selection may be smaller than what's offered by big chains like Subway or Quiznos but they win the game by offering good prices, friendly staff, and fresh ingredients. You take that first bite and you can tell that the owner and staff take pride in what they're selling.
Haven't been to this place in years. The food and service was great but it didn't taste the them. Thanks anyway team!
