While eating the ginger salad, I found myself closing my eyes and enjoying the moment. The nigiri was delicious as well. I highly recommend it!
I love sushi and for being such a foodie town, a lot of Charleston's offerings are sub par at best. Shiki is hands down the best sushi in town. It's Charleston's oldest sushi restaurant and it's easy to see why it has stood the test of time. There was no low point of the meal. It was incredible.
This restaurant has always played the absolute best music every time I’ve gone. Absolute bangers, all night. And the only thing better, is their sushi.
Hands down, my favorite sushi place anywhere. I will gladly drive to Charleston for the day just to eat there, and in fact, I do! My go-to is the Dynamite, an appetizer with crab meat and a spicy mayo sauce that is to die for. Then I follow it up with a Volcano Roll (make that 2 rolls!), which is covered in the same spicy mayo! First time I had it, I was hooked! My dining companion routinely tries different sushi rolls, but always starts with a white Miso Soup. This time, it was an elegant Rainbow Roll. The. Best. Sushi. And an amazing staff that I cannot say enough nice things about! Give them a try.
Best sushi restaurant in Charleston! I was offered a variety of rolls along with other dishes like soups, tempura, and sashimi, and it was worth trying a bunch of different menu items! I highly recommend the shrimp tempura roll, tempura udon, and tuna tataki. The items are reasonably priced for their high quality. If you’re looking for a nice date night, flavor experience, or to try some new dishes, this is the place. The interior also is very well decorated and aesthetically pleasing. Will be returning!
Most amazing sushi I have ever had! Service was amazing! Definitely a once in a life time experience.
Very good food couldn't tell you what my favorite was but we tried alot and it was all great also the price was good and the staff was nice would recommend to others
While in Charleston, my wife and I got reservations at Shi Ki for dinner one evening. The restaurant was hopping with activity and every table was full, which was only drawback to our visit in my opinion. With the restaurant so busy, it's very loud and having a conversation can be a bit challenging, but I suppose that is part of the charm of a good Sushi restaurant. The sushi and Sake that we ordered was excellent. Our waitress did an outstanding job of taking care of us during our visit and the sushi and other dishes were perfect in both taste and presentation.
This place is a VIBE! Sushi is fresh and delicious! I recommend the super crunch roll! Music is awesome, atmosphere is perfect for date night! Love love love this place!
Such a great experience! We walked in at 6:30 on a Friday night and were immediately sat. The gyoza and sushi were amazing! Fish tasted so fresh and was actually cut into sizes that could easily be eaten (I hate when sushi rolls are so big you can't fit them in your mouth). Our server was great and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Will definitely be back!
