What a hole in the wall!! BUT they make the best places ever and this one is no exception!!! This was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in and it is definitely New York style! This is a very small place have a very small space to work but they work together like a well-oiled machine! I highly advise you to order ahead because they are busy! We ate in but there are only three tables to sit at. We were lucky to get one.
While in Charleston, we met a Coast Guard Officer stationed here. We asked him for the best pizza in Charleston and he told us about Sabatino’s. “Hands down, the best pizza in town”. He told us the only problem was finding a place to park. He told us to plan to take the pizza out to one of the parks to eat, because the restaurant only seats about 8 inside. Well, he was spot on with his recommendation for a NY style pizza. We had to park about 2 blocks away. We got the Brooklyn’s Finest. Pizza was piping hot when we picked it up and it was delicious.
?NYC PIZZA IN CHARLESTON ?The best pizza in the Charleston area....It's like stepping back in time. The only thing I noticed from when I was there about 5yrs ago is the pizza wasn't that thin.I used to go there atleast once a month for about 5yrs straight. It was better than but still the ?
We needed a quick lunch near King Street, and Sabatino's was handy. The lunch special (2 slices and a soda for about $10) was perfect for us - the slices were big and tasty and the service was quick. There are only four tables in the restaurant (most of the business is carry-out), which could have been a problem - they filled up while we were there. I recommend the Grandma pizza (thick crust) over the regular thin crust, but both were good.
Stopped in on a weekday afternoon while biking around town. We each got one of their huge slices of pizza - with pepperoni and bacon- YUM! Crust was crispy, pizza was hot, taste was excellent, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value, too. I'd definitely frequent this place if I were a local! Highly recommend!
After being spoiled with real NY Pizza in the business district of Manhattan Island, it has been nearly impossible to find authentic NY Pizza anywhere! We came here and omfg it is legit! It is real NY Pizza! It passes the fold test and is the best tasting pizza in South Carolina! I said what I said!
We ordered two chef specials 14in pizzas it's basically a surprise pizza but you can tell them if you don't want certain topping on it he hooked it up with a chicken cheddar white sauce pizza with broccoli it was so good who would have thought broccoli on a pizza amazing the other pizza was like a cheese burger pizza with jalapenos also super fire cheese sticks on point glad I tried this place will order more in the future
Wow. As a new resident of this area coming from NY, I was thinking I was going to miss good old fashioned NY pizza. Well have no fear my friends, Sabatinos has you covered. Tried the regular and bacon chicken ranch slices.... Amazing! Highly recommended if you are a transplant looking for that home style pizza, or if you just like great pizza. Thank you Sabatinos for taking the anxiety of not having NY pizza at my disposal.
My husband and I stopped here for lunch while visiting Charleston on a busy Saturday. It is just off King Street. We each had a slice of the all meat pizza. It was large and delicious. The wait was not long and we were able to eat inside.
The new Pizza chef Frank sure knows how to make a true New York style pizza and the Garlic Knots with sauce is top notch. If you want a taste of authentic NY Pizza and the Blonde hair Blue Eye Chef is back there give it a try you will NEVER be disappointed. As a matter of fact I've eaten at a few Charleston Pizzerias and nothing comes close.
