The servers at the buffet were rude and didn't even fake wanting to be there. The food wasn't fit for feeding to prisoners, the prices are way to high for the portions and the food was colder than the salad and when I opened my flatware it was as nasty as the sticky unwashed booth seat. Avoiding this place is for the best, unless you enjoy punishing your body and toung with swill!
Ordered via UberEATS, and for the price its not terrible, however, it's scammy AF to list Chopped Steak on your menu and serve DRY premade hamburger pucks...Gonna pass on a return visit. If I wanted mediocre food I'll hit a drive thru.(Food Container is clear, sorry my pic is weird.)
I hate to say it, but it seems like the S & S cafeteria of my childhood is gone for good. Since moving back to Charleston, I have only encountered cold, tasteless food and bad, inattentive service in successive visits. I feel the need to find another restaurant to satisfy my perpetual craving for good homestyle, southern cooking.
Food was really good. Service is always great. Didn't have my favorite pie though, German chocolate pie ?
I have been eating out in Mount Pleasant, Charleston,Summerville and from Washington DC to Key West and the food at S&S Cateteria was without a doubt the absolute worse food I have ever eaten at ANY restaurant or fast food joint. They did ,however, discountit about 60 % . I would not go back and eat if they paid me.

Came in for lunch. Ordered baked spaghetti, mac & cheese, cabbage, garlic toast, pecan pie and sweetened tea. Delicious. You can always get a good meal here for a great price. Never disappoints!!

Good to Fine home cooked food the same as your grandmother made in her kitchen all on the serving line for you to select as you choose without any wait at all, plus great wait staff to serve you even for second servings brought to your table. Low to modest prices and senior plus military meal discounts. I will see you there, as Amy and I love the place.
