We got all seafood. Seafood cooked to perfection but there was no flavor in any dish and all 6 plates were Luke warm. The okra been dish was terrible. Beans not fully cooked but they took it off the bill with not asking. Super beautiful presentation but no flavor. We wouldn’t go back
10/10. Amazing service and the employees were so kind. They made my birthday extra special. The food was amazing. The chargrilled sourdough bread was so good. The shrimp and grits were out of this world. Can’t wait to go back.
I don't normally do reviews but I just had the best dinner and waitress. Charleston didn't let me down. If you're downtown and looking for a unique place you need to stop in. Tori our waitress was the sweetest and helped us with our choices. We plan to definitely come back. Thank you for everything!
Stopped in for dinner one evening and all my expectations were met. Great service and even better food. 10/10 must try if you're in Charleston!
Let me tell you about the HIGHLIGHT of my trip !!! The Revival was my come to Jesus meal of the trip... Babee let me just tell you started off WD She Crab Soup and tasted every sweet piece of crab smoothness of this soup awakened my palate for what came next .... Jimmy Red Cornmeal Oysters, Lordy, Lordy being from the South and growing up eating fresh oysters off the Mississippi river steps as a child these oysters brought tears to my eyes so fresh & juicy prepared to perfection. Then came the Tuna Crudo I should have just picked up the bowl & licked it clean, Sea Beans ......I am in search of them as a fresh staple to add to my fridge. A must-have, you can thank me later ... Well by now you think I would be past pleasing my palate further, nope Beet salad ummmmm mmmm good hunee !! The food just kept getting better, our awesome server or should I say awesome food guide Kara suggested all of the right things she was so knowledgeable our wine a Pinot Blanc complimented our entire meal. I chose for my entree roasted striped bass, again the flavors of the crust of pistachio of one of the freshest pieces of bass ever, the plate was simply delightful. My partner had the Duck Confit again just a masterpiece in itself blowing our diet without one regret. At this point, I asked Kara if Chef Jason had time to say hi so I could let him see how delighted I was with my total dining experience. He was so modest & humbled I hated that he couldn't have sat and enjoyed this excellent meal with us !!!! Revival, I will be back again sooner than later, oh my how could I have left out the Key lime pie just as amazing as my entire meal !!
WOW! we had been to this Restaurant before and loved it. They since had a new Chef and the food is now even better. Creative without being whimsical, refreshingly light without being insipid and really good without being pretentious. This last characteristic seems to be the hallmark of this Restaurant across the board and was perfectly exemplified by our server, Kara, who was simply delightful. Onto the food: the grilled vegetables salad was a perfect way to start the meal, a touch short on salt, but still very good. Beet salad was pretty close to perfection the tartness and slight bitterness of the grapefruit providing the perfect match to the sweet earthiness of the beets and finished with a light lemon ricotta that provided just the right amount of richness. The potato pave’ was a great rendition of classic caviar service with a perfectly fried purple potato torte with crème fraiche, salmon roe and chives…understated luxury. For the entree we shared the pistachio crusted Seabass, served with a rainbow array of different purées. Stunning and delicious. Special mention for the campfire carrots, boldly flavors and hauntingly nostalgic. Overall a simply perfect dining experience
It was the last night of our vacation and decided to dine at the revival due to the trip advisor ratings. Where do I start our server James was excellent with great service, recommendations and very personable. I had the she crab soup and striped bass both were absolutely to die for. The bartender Nicole made the best old fashioned I have had in my 63 years of living. It’s also the little things in revival such as the artwork and music which really make the dining experience so unique. I would highly recommend the revival to anyone it definitely made our entire week. Thank you James and Nicole we will be returning back on our next trip to Charleston.
Service was good. Restaurant well staffed. She crab soup and oyster app delicious. Low country Pirlou delicious. Duck Confit tiny, beyond salty and terribly over cooked. My husband ate it as it was only a few bites and he felt sorry for me so gave me half of his food. Had campfire carrots for the table. So strange. Burnt. Overly salty and covered in other weird spice. The weirdest thing I’ve ever seen presented in a restaurant. I would not be so harsh had we not spoken to our server about how overly salted the duck was and he said he would speak to the chef but there was no further comment from him about it. With so many wonderful places to eat in Charleston this was a waste of time and money.
Delicious food. Awesome waiter (Dylan). Great place for a romantic dinner. Me and my lady were very pleased.
Delicious food and super dedicated service ! Food presentation is really nice and they are using local ingredients. The decoration is a mix between modern art and classic.
