Stopped in for some pork sandwiches for lunch. Food was great, but the highlight of the visit was the outstanding service from Shorty! I highly recommend Queology for the food, but even if you're not hungry, it's worth your time to stop and say hi to shorty, It'll make your day!
Although our server was very attentive, the BBQ joint lacked atmosphere and variety. Being a KC BBQ aficionado, Queology lacked flavor and quality for the true BBQ lover. Hubby left half if his rack of ribs because they were caked with way too much rub. Was surprised they were rated so highly in Charleston.
Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. Very reasonably priced and delicious. Service is great, only con is there isn’t indoor dining. They have an outdoor patio which is cool and has fans.
Rated #1 for a reason! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Queology. I had the baby back ribs and they were a Homerun! Wife enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich.
Can’t believe out of all the wonderful, tasty restaurants in Charleston, this dump ranked number 1. Now questioning the validity of trip advisor as this place needs to be ranked at the bottom. Overall it was dirty and just disgusting. Nachos were one of the worst we ever had. Consisted of salty chips with a small amount of cheez whiz sauce, few jalapeños and a tablespoon of coleslaw. Chicken wings dry. Server was so irritating and was telling us how staff were all leaving to work at another restaurant down on East Bay. (Even gave name of restaurant!). Seemed like no loyalty from staff. Drinks were weak. Definitely not worth the price.
We had a friendly waitress who promptly served us drinks. I headed to the bathroom where two employees came out of their own single person bathrooms simultaneously, and... neither bathroom had soap. One employee told me he "just used hot water." We got the check shortly after that.
Excellent service with not great food. Food came out quickly and warm. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Pulled chicken was dry. Wings were just ok. Fries were soggy and over salted. But that was the best part of the meal. Maybe I had high expectations with this place being #1.
After reviewing TripAdvisor and seeing that Queology was coming up as the #1 place for dinner in Downtown and the French Quarter sections, we decided to give it a shot. The food was decent but we both felt like it was borderline fast-food. We were in and out of there in less than 1/2 hour. I had the smoked chicken wings, which tasted good. Husband had the brisket. He said it was good but it was a small portion with 2 small hawaiian rolls. The mac & cheese was just okay. In our opinion, just not worth the #1 rating.
Really impressive food quality and great service 10 outta 10 would recommend. They deserve air conditioning!
