We are Midwesterners and don't necessarily do seafood all that often, but when you're in an oyster bar...We sat at the bar and truly enjoyed talking with the staff. They did a great job giving us recommendations and showing us how to use an oyster fork?. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
We stopped in here on our first night in Charleston, after driving for 13 hours. I was hungry! We ordered the fish and chips, fried calamari, Baked Oysters Rockefeller and corn fritters. The calamari was excellent and had a nice aioli sauce to go with it. I love the oysters rockefeller, they were delicious and rich tasting! The corn fritters were really good - a little sweet but nice and crunchy on the outside and not greasy at all. Husband felt that the fish in the fish & chips had a little too much batter, and they were fried a pretty dark color, maybe cooked a little too much. But aside from that we were happy with the rest of our dishes.
The hospitality and customer service was fabulous. The restaurant is very intimate and we were a large party. The manager went out of his way to make us comfortable and the wait go by quickly. I cannot say enough positive things about our visit - and the food was as good as the service. We will be back on our next visit.
An absolutely exceptional experience. We always expect the highest of standards when we visit Charleston but Pearlz went above and beyond. From the quality of service the moment we walked in to the expertly crafted drinks and food. My wife and I were just blown away. To top it off the manager on staff came over to check in and told us his, and the restaurants story. He was the son of the owner and had grown roots in the business since early childhood. Its just added even more charm to the magnificent experience and ambiance.A must stop in your visit to Charleston!
Pearlz Oyster Bar was delicious!! William was our server and he was excellent! The drinks were delicious and the service was on point. We didn’t wait long for our food once we placed the order! When we visit Charleston again we will definitely come back to visit this restaurant!
We sat at the bar to avoid waiting. Tried all kinds of raw oysters samples, seafood pasta, two salads, Rockefeller baked oysters, and the fried oysters, they were all amazing. We are here twice in a row, and it has been the best restaurant we experienced during our 5-day trip
We tried several oyster bars in the town and we love here the most! Delicious, fresh, and well served! Price at happy hour is affordable and make us happy in Charleston : )
Stopped at Pearlz for dinner on a whim. Seated right away, around 5 PM. It was Happy Hour, so got a couple drinks and an appetizer. Then had dinner. The food was very good. The waitress was very attentive and we didn't wait long for anything. Nice place. Would go back for sure.
Simply loved it . Perfect seafood restaurant with delicious food and great cocktails . Loved their lobster roll and pasta with clams . Restaurant was packed on week night so we took the bar sits. By the time table became available we didn’t even want to leave the bar and ate there . Loved the atmosphere and service. Highly recommend for authentic Charleston experience
