We had a very helpful server who gave great suggestions for food to try as it was our first time at O-Ku. The food was excellent and tasted great as well.
Best sushi in Charleston by far! The lobster teppanyaki was amazing! Some of the best cocktails we have had since moving here (the matcha and tea drink was so unique and refreshing and no alcohol but would be incredible with rum). Service was a bit slow and they were out of a few items, but we really enjoyed our meal. Canât wait to be back! Other highlights were the truffle edamame, and the signature otoro nigiri.
Excellent service and the sushi was amazing. Great vibe and although there werenât many families with children our boys loved the sushi.
Great food, friendly staff, all around amazing experience
O-Ku was amazing! The food was next level and SO tasty. Our service was great and everything came out very quickly! My only small complaint was that the portions are kind of small. I think as Americans, if we sit down at a restaurant to spend some coin, we expect huge portions. This is just part of our culture. But these portions were smaller, more reasonably sized. Nothing wrong with that, just not what I was expecting. So if youâre a big eater, maybe order more food than you think you need? But overall very good!

I have visited Charleston twice and stumbled upon Oku the first time. The experience was so good we had to go back the second time. Amazing sushi
So delicious!! We came here for our anniversary and were surprisingly met with the amazing happy hour specials. I wouldn’t say it was a romantic atmosphere as it was pretty casual and busy. But we’ll definitely come again for the great food
