This place is fantastic. I’ve been probably 15 times since I first learned about it and I have never had an experience that deserved less than five stars. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. The coffee is robust and flavorful, and the staff is some of the friendliest I’ve encountered. The atmosphere is modern and aesthetically pleasing, and the music adds to the experience. You won’t be disappointed!! Try the house made city ham—it’s my favorite.
Bagels and home smoked salmon!
I stopped in to do some grab a coffee and do some work. Parking and tables are plentiful, and the almond milk latte was great. However, Merc and Mash plays very loud music and gets very busy. If you’re like me and like working in this kind of environment, then you’ll enjoy it here.
This place is fantastic. The pastries have a lot of flavor to them other than just sweet, and I truly appreciate that. The coffee is good and the food came out quick and delicious. 5 stars was easy for me.
Amazing food. I got the avocado toast and it was to die for!! Their coffee is also excellent. Everything about this spot is excellent from the customer service to the cookies and pastries! So clean and well maintained. I would recommend coming when they open so you can get dibs on the pastries cause they’re that good. Great family atmosphere, or you can study and work on homework here with their wifi! Everything and more that I look for at a restaurant. Just one more reason to move to Charleston.
Relaxed atmosphere, cool vibe, great good ?
Nice variety on the menu. I had the beet salad with chicken, and it was tasty and substantial. Chocolate peppermint cookie was another standout. They had a coffee area and a small store with food/drinks.
Overall, excellent atmosphere. We got the pea soup, falafel and chicken and biscuit.Starting with the good, the soup and falafel were excellent. They were both packed with flavor. Wish we would have had a full order of that. The bad, the chicken and biscuit was such a let down. It looked great … but so flavorless. The biscuit was so flavorless I thought I lost my sense of taste if not for the amazing falafel sammie. The chicken was meh. Rubbery. Breading again, no flavor. I asked for butter to at least make myself a biscuit and butter. Still .. ended up being unable to finish. So sad.I’m still giving it 4 stars because I love the space, love what they are doing and adored the falafel pita.
I was here for the first time this weekend. My iced vanilla latte was great, but my bagel with cream cheese was soggy. It seems like they slathered cream cheese on it and then it was sitting for a while, so it had no crunch at all and was very chewy. I also found a hair on it and therefore did not have the best food experience.
My favorite spot for breakfast, try the rosemary crisont (if you can get there early enough) ? the staff is friendly, and the service is usually pretty quick! If you are looking for somewhere to bring your laptop and work this is a great spot! It is slightly more expensive than most breakfast places, but everything I've had so far is delicious.
