While downtown enjoying the beautiful sunny weather I happened to stumble upon this restaurant. What caught my eye for dessert was the cannoli. I dined in and ate the chicken parmigiana which was delicious and had the cannoli to go. Both of them were perfection! This restaurant was today's lucky find! This has been the absolute best "Italian" I have had in SC !
We ate here on our recent vacation to Charleston and had the rigatoni al vodka and lasagna. Both were amazing. We will be back next year! Highly recommend.

Grabbed a quick bite before a show at the Chas Music Hall - service was fast and friendly but the real star was the food! I usually avoid spaghetti at a restaurant because I'm afraid it'll be too basic but OH MAN this bolognese sauce was AMAZING! It had just the right amount of salt, meat, and that kind of umami you get from really good (maybe even sun dried?) tomatoes- I was in heaven! My husband got the pizza Margherita and he said it was good but he tried my sauce (just on a piece of bread) and his brow furrowed in that 'omg that's frickin' good' way so I knew I wasn't crazy that something so simple could be so YUM! Maaan I'm ruined for spaghetti now. ? Like... how do you go back to Prego after that? ? You can't! 10/10 would ride again!!
Pizza was cold, salty, and very skimpy toppings. Didn't get some of the toppings we paid for. Didn't get plates and napkins we asked for. Never again, stay away!

We had a party of 9 and no reservation. We were walking around and found this gem. The bar was open for all of us, so we were seated promptly.Service: from the beginning to the end, the service was phenomenal. We were greeted quickly, our water refilled frequently, and was on top of our alcoholic drinks to make sure we got more if we wanted. The food came out at a great flow.Food: Everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the chicken parmesan and really enjoyed it. The Chicken was properly cooked and moist. I also had the cannoli which was delicious.The restaurant was very clean from the dining room to the bathroom.I really can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to the next time we are visiting Charleston.
Mario's is amazing! We had great service, and awesome food. The pasta was well proportioned, and the pizza was well contracted and delicious. They tended to our table very well, our waters were always full, and our food was out very hot and fresh.
