My husband and I were looking for a good brunch spot in Charleston and Maple Street Biscuit Company exceeded our expectations. The food was above and beyond - the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had - but the service is what really sent this place over the top. Everyone was friendly and professional. Sal made us feel like we were Sunday morning regulars. The restaurant is exceptionally clean. Needless to say we will definitely be back this week as well as on our future trips to Charleston. If you’re looking for brunch in the area, don’t look any further!
Love this spot. The staff here is attentive, friendly, and run a smooth operation. Props to management! If you come to Maple Street and aren't feeling a biscuit (which all options are delicious especially with the sausage gravy), try the Sunny O'Ryan - Breakfast Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, Ham and Cheddar Cheese topped with 2 Sunny Side Up Eggs! Delicious and great as an entree that fills you up just enough. My new Favorite! You also can get unlimited hot or iced coffee while eating-in which is amazing.
Very nice breakfast spot. Peaceful and quiet atmosphere. You have the options for inside or outside seating. The food was very good!
Decent spot for a huge biscuit with lots of extras. I like that the coffee and sodas are self serve. I prefer getting my own drink that way if I my coffee bottoms out the only person I have to blame is myself. Be careful where you park. Traffic backs up so it may block you in. Recommend backing in and not parking near their door.
Maple Street Biscuit Company is an option when you want to start your day with a treat. They serve delicious biscuit meals reasonably priced. The building is attached to a parking lot and shopping center. The restaurant was clean with indoor and outdoor seating. The drinks are self serve and the coffee is not ideal, but you can walk over to muddy’s across the street for perfect espresso. I enjoyed Maple Street Biscuit and would return.
The food is absolutely phenomenal. I went with The Five and Dime and it was so good. Definitely saving this place next time I visit Charleston.
They were SLAMMED on a Sunday morning, the staff appeared limited, but they kicked butt in service and resolving issues. It took us approximately 35 minutes to receive our order... and it took 15 more to get our coffee and OJ. Very very slow, but they were incredibly busy.I rate highly because the interactions with staff were great and the food was DELICIOUS!
Bad Experience:Came here to pick up an order, stood at the pick up counter for 5 minutes before someone came, I gave her my order name she went to “check” and never returned. Finally after waiting another 20 minutes I was saved by a fellow African American brother who happened to come from the back and see me standing there for a while. The order was literally on the other side of the counter and had been ready since before I got there. The two stars is only because the food is actually good can’t lie??♂️
I'll start and end with good. The food is excellent. The biscuits were amazing. The chicken was fried just right. I'm not sure if I'd go back. Two things that put a damper on the visit... The temperature... It was so cold inside. We had to put our coats back on. Our noses started running. Finger tips were freezing. I was tempted to go back and order coffee just to warm up. We did ask to turn the heat up, they said they could not. Second thing... They took everyone's name as if they respected them enough to call an actual name. For my husband and i, they put wait... So we're listening for about 20 minutes waiting for our name and nothing. When our food was ready they said order for wait. Order for wait. Come to think of it, that alone may stop me from going back. I hope it wasn't what I thought it was. Ugh. Lastly, the orange juice is fresh and made right in front of you. It is delicious. So if you don't mind being cold, it's good breakfast.
I had the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. One of the best I've ever eaten!. The pecan chicken was flavorful and tender with just the right amount of kick. And the Belgian waffle was perfect with the syrup. Definitely will be going back to enjoy other selections.
