Great environment, had a blast with my wife. We sat at the bar and originally went for happy hour. Three hours later we ate and drank everything.

We had great service here and the ambiance was great, so that adds a star to my rating. The food was disappointing, though. I had the fried chicken sandwich, and the size of the chicken was substantially smaller than the bun, so several bites were of just bread! But the flavor was good - though nothing special. The hush puppies, oysters, and shrimp were our starters - the hush puppies were average and I'd say the oysters and shrimp were good but the toppings for the oysters could've used a lot more flavor (more vinegar!). Overall, we had a fun night and it was a great spot for a big group, but the food was slightly lacking.

Husband and I both had the fried shrimp & it did not disappoint! Delicious, plump, juicy shrimp in a really good batter. We also had the hush puppies and cole slaw and both were also very, very good. We talked about this meal for the remainder of our trip. Cool atmosphere and good service too!

Excellent food. Had the chicken, fried shrimp entrees. Both were very delicious. The chicken had a unique blend of seasoning and spice. But not overly spicey. Just right. Chicken was moist even the breast. The shrimp was very fresh and perfect amount of batter. Sides were good too. The famous potatoes were delicious but reminded me more of au gratin than scalloped potatoes. Extra cheesy. But yummy all the same. The slaw and pea salad were good too. Hubby had the oysters. Not overly large but he said they were the best he had in a long time. I tried the charred oysters. They were good but I expected a more smoked flavor. All in all everything was delicious. Servers were pleasant. No complaints. Definitely met our expectations. Looking forward to our next visit. Which will be soon.

Average food in general, except scalloped potatoes and hush puppies. Pleasant efficient waitress. Tourist spot for sure.

OK the chicken is good, but $15 for two pieces? The shrimp roll was delicious and the soft serve for dessert was very good. A fun lunch.

After reading amazing reviews, my friends and I headed over to Leon’s for a late lunch. The wait was going to be an hour so we decided to just have a drink and enjoy the beautiful ambiance in the restaurant. I ordered the Pimms cup, which was one of the most refreshing cocktails I have ever tried. When we were finally seated, I ordered the fried shrimp and side of au gratin potatoes—-both were absolutely delicious. My friends at the table ordered the shrimp roll, fish fry, and fried chicken which they all gave rave reviews on as well. Leon’s is a must-see in Charleston, worth the wait!

Leon’s is a fun place to enjoy great food and drink with friends. Their oyster poor boy sandwich is awesome and you must try the hush puppies. And their brussel sprouts are amazing.

The food and service was amazing on the private patio!!

Loved the hush puppies & fried oyster sandwich, and the decor!
